Fingerpicking Popular Hits

I have several of the older Hal Leonard Finger picking series and enjoy them a lot. It's almost like they've gotten lazy with some of their recent releases like this one. The arrangement are so basic and bland. It reminds me of some of those intro to guitar books where you play Old MacDonald had a farm. I was really disappointed because I liked the song selection, but somebody was really phoning it in with the arrangement. Definitely going to second guess buying any more of their new finger picking book.

Very basic melodies with little else that could reasonably be called a fingerstyle arrangement. Do not buy any in this series.

I have almost all of the “Fingerpicking” guitar books, all available from Amazon whose service is excellent.I take all these with me on solo gigs and feel I can cover pretty well any request from the audience.Working carefully through these books will also develop your sight reading skills so pretty well all the songs in these books will be accessible to enable most audience requests to be satisfied.I wish I’d discovered these publications years ago. Well done Amazon!

The book arrived in good condition. The book is slightly larger than A4 and ideal to pop onto a book stand while learning the pieces.

Ich habe mir das Buch aus Neugier gekauft, weil es für Sologitarre doch relativ wenig Material gibt, was aktuelle Songs/Charts angeht.Die Bearbeitungen sind super und nicht zu schwer zu spielen. Man erkennt das jeweilige Lied immer ziemlich schnell.Natürlich heißt auch hier - "ohne Fleiß kein Preis", aber auch als Nicht-Profi bekommt man hier mit relativ geringem Aufwand eine Menge aus seinem Instrument raus.
