Kunsto Men's Genuine Leather Oxfords Dress Ankle Boots with Zipper

I loved these shoes the moment I took them out of the box. After a SINGLE day wearing them, however, I noticed what I at first thought was a regular scuff (image attached). On closer inspection I realized that somehow a chunk had been taken out of the toe area of my left shoe exposing what appears to be something...less than leather...underneath. I bought these because I believe the claim they are "100%" leather. Previous shoes I've worn have chunks that peel off the surface almost immediately because they are bonded leather rather than genuine leather. From my experience, real leather shouldn't do that. What I am seeing here is pretty distressing.If these shoes continue to deteriorate like this I will not be happy. Be careful everyone. These might not be what they appear!

The heel is glued on and the black part separated from the tan part yesterday. I have barely worn them but I just bought some shoe glue to fix it. Besides the bottom of the shoe (where they cut some corners) this is a wonderful value shoe. The design is great. The zipper is heavy duty and well sown in. The support is what I would expect. The leather is legit - not this "leather" plastic shiny business. Also, the grip on the bottoms isn't great so avoid ice patches. I have gotten a lot of compliments on these shoes but be aware the bottoms are maybe how you are saving some money on these.

Updated review:I believe in second chances. The company quickly responded that I had a defective boots and sent out a new pair of boots. I received them yesterday. The last pair were probably made on a Friday. So I'll keep my fingers cross. Moving my rating to three stars because, I had an issue with the last pair. But it deserves five on looks. Thank you for quickly responding.I order these boots on the 2nd of this month. They were nice looking, stylish. Looks good for the price. Lesson learned, if it's cheap don't buy it. Fifteen days later, well take a look a the picture.

First of all shoes fits perfectly - it's clearly mentioned to order half size smaller and that fits perfectly. Nice quality upper leather. Zipper are bit stiff in begining but I would assume that would be perfect after some use.Issue - sole is NOT AT ALL "Slip-resistant". Shoes are slippery on any kind of surface - be it high carpet, low carpet or tiles. Description says "Slip-resistant sole" and unfortunately I believed that. Sadly returning..

Great value boot! I wore these for about a week and a half before taking pics. I also applied a leather conditioner and protector so the color has changed a bit from what it was out of the box, FYI. There is some wrinkling on the tops of the boots due to use. Again, for a value boot this is expected and doesn't bother me. As long as you follow good shoe maintenance practices and keep the leather conditioned it shouldn't crack, just wrinkle a bit, which adds a nice weathered look. It's also quite comfortable - I walk in them at least 30 - 45 mins a day and they feel great. If anything changes after a couple of months of use I'll update my review. So far, expectations exceeded for a great looking boot at this price point.

These shoes are very comfortable, as someone with a wider foot, I often have trouble with either side of my foot feeling "pushed in". These give just enough room that my foot has a bit of wiggle room, without it looking like i'm wearing clown shoes, also the room around the ankle is nice. My biggest gripe with dress shoes is the feeling of the leather digging into my ankle, which I don't get any of with these. One thing I did notice is that the bottom of the shoe is completely flat, there's absolutely no tread. When I first tried these on, I had a wood floor underneath me and my foot slid across it immediately. It's been about a week, and they seem to have gained some tread though walking over concrete and other gritty surfaces. They're still a bit slick, but I can actually push myself back in my office chair without my foot sliding forward now, so that's an improvement.

I really like this style of distressed leather, which is the main reason for purchasing them. They arrived on time and I usually wear a 8.5 in dress shoe and these fit almost perfectly. They are a little snug in the toes as my feet are slightly wider than normal but I know that after breaking them in this will not be an issue. However, I will warn you that this leather is very stiff and the break-in process is painful. I highly suggest putting mink oil on them and once they dry, break them in, as your feet will thank you. Also, there is little to no arc support so if you have high arches, then getting the correct insert would be beneficial. Overall, even with the painful break-in of about 2 weeks without the mink oil, I really like these shoes and get compliments on them ever since I started wearing them.

So right out of the box these were super comfy. Many people complimented them. I loved them. Easy to put on and off due to zipper. These were my go to shoes.But then...after a month the tan sole ink/color started coming off to reveal the black rubber underneath...not a big deal. I like things to look old. However just 4 months after purchasing them it is time to retire them. I knew in ordering $45 boots not to expect them to last long. The shoe separated from the heel and now there is a hole large enough to stick my thumb through it. I knew they wouldn’t last long but only 4 months? Come on...
