Good machine for the money - interchanges with most major dies.
This machine is very useful for a garage level or step up from garage level fabricator. It has helped me out in fabricating repair panels, floor panels, and even built a custom drill bit box for my Mag-drill bits. I had issues with the delivery due to packaging however. The machine was loose in the wooden crate and therefore a wire bulkhead connector was broken, the depth adjustment threaded rod was bent severely and the plastic hand-wheel was cracked. Additionally the machine showed up late because it was falling apart inside the box (at fault of packaging, not UPS, not Amazon). Amazon worked with me to adjust the final sale price but luckily I own other equipment that allowed me to repair the machine and get it working after it delivered.Good:Interchanges Dies with (most) Mittler Brothers so I have started picking up their fancy dies for trick work.Affordable unit for its capacity. Will bead roll 16 gauge mild steel, which is impressive.Comes with stand-off guide bracket.Infinite variable foot switch really gives a good slow speed control for intricate tight turns in pattern work.It does have quite a bit of power. The motor has not been the limiting factor but rather the hand wheel for amount of pressure in the roller. I have been using it mostly on 18 Ga and the machine has not even blinked at it in regards to strength.Baileigh Tools has a pretty good support team so if you need anything or have questions their social media marketing guy is pretty easy to track down on most fab forums. Not so Good:The machine is made overseas, and that makes me sad, but I simply could not afford the MB version of this machine for the lesser frequency of use. If you will use it every day in production, get the MB, for moderate use or side / hobby / restoration / weekend warrior use, this one will survive for sure, but just not last as long.Packaging was obviously sub-par for the weight of the parts inside. The machine required setup and alignment before I could use it – make sure you have SAE and Metric Hex keys to set this thing up as it has a mix of hardware. Not ALL of the MB dies will work on this machine without making a 0.75” ID spacer or two. I have the tube flaring die and needed to make a spacer die to offset the tool correctly as the roller shanks are SAE 0.75” but the drive shafts themselves are not.
