Jiobit Gen 2 - Tracker for Kids, Teens, Seniors, Autism, Special Needs, Dementia | Real-Time GPS Tracking (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

This tracker keeps close tabs on my one cat that we let out to explore the neighborhood except at night and when the weather is wet, snowy, or to cold. The features are great. You can press the " live" icon on the app and watch real time movement. The only gripe I have is it needs to be charged up often, at least the way we use it. Usually twice a day. Using the "live" feature uses battery power at a higher rate. For our Jack this is not a huge deal because his routine of out in the morning, home for lunch and a nap, and back out for another couple of hours allows us to charge it. We charge it at anything below 70%.I highly recommend using a small dog collar. The breakaway cat collars will leave your tracker in a neighbors yard. My cat Jack figured out how to kick off a cat collar after wearing one for about 10 minutes. He uses a back leg to get under it, pushes it, and it breaks away. I have seen him do it, hence the small dog collar. I know, the cat breakaway collars are technically safer but Jack's collar has not been a problem.This is a good product. The annual subscription fee is reasonable in my opinion.

I am incredibly impressed with this product. GPS accuracy is stellar (at least for me it has been). And I know my indoor/outdoor kitty is near my home when he's connected via bluetooth or wifi. If you're looking for accuracy for just when your pet or loved one is connected via bluetooth or wifi, it doesn't show that, but knowing that both represent that my cat is close is all I need to know.As far a battery life I've had no problems and have only had to charge it once after a couple of weeks - and it still had 50% battery life even then! I rarely use "live" mode as the tracker updates very frequently on its own. I recently had to go find my cat and so I put it in live mode and tracked him down to practically the square foot! And even then, I didn't see the battery life drop dramatically, but definitely faster. And I only had it in live mode for 10 min.I had to get a different collar for my cat to put this on. A breakaway collar is not a good idea if you plan to use this for your pet as it can be easily lost. I found a leather collar with a very stretchy elastic part (thanks to another reviewer), so even if he gets stuck somewhere, he won't choke. And it won't break away, causing me to lose my Jiobit.I've read in other reviews saying that if you get a new phone, you have to get a new Jiobit. I just got a new phone, so that shouldn't affect me for a long time.I will continue to try to convert my kitty to indoor only. But this device gives me SUCH peace of mind when my cat gets out and roams the neighborhood. I also plan to use it on my child when I take him to Six Flags and other places where a child can get lost.I love that it has an alarm feature that you can turn on with your phone so you can find your Jiobit if it's lost in a bush or the like. It comes with 4 different attachments so you can attach it to a beltloop, shirt-back, shoe, etc.The app is VERY easy to use, including setting up your geofence (they call it something simpler in the app) - which simply means the device has left your immediate area or not and you designate that area.I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but it's already paid off in spades. I've had no experience with customer service yet, so I can't speak to that yet.

IVE BEEN WITH THEM YEARS AND ITS JUST GETTING WORSE. GO WITH FI-DIG COLLAR AND MAKE SURE YOIR PETS ARE SAFE AND CAN BE FOUND!!!!!!I bought 3 JioBit’s after our baby girl got scared and ran out of the door. She was missing for 24 hours and we wish we would have bought them much sooner! These trackers use 5G service along with GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. You set them up on the app for iOS or Android. I use iOS and my partner uses Android, the experience is standard on both platforms, which is very nice. You don’t have to learn how to use the same app in different ways. The set up was easy - charge the JioBits, hook them up to your home Wi-Fi, then hook them up to Bluetooth, and then for the 5G service, you simply pick a plan and the app does the rest! I like the Wi-Fi fence the most. As soon as one of your babies goes outside the set area or they end up wandering too far from you, you are immediately notified through the app. You can ring their bells or set a Bluetooth alter in the app and the JioBits ring and let you know where your babies are at. The Wi-Fi fence can be as close or as far as you would like it to be, so that’s nice. We set ours for a wider area as the kids roam around the house and yard all day so we didn’t want it to be too sensitive to where they were going. You can set up a “Care Team” and places they your babies can be where they are safe as well. Your “Care Team” is anyone that can have your babies or at their house connected to their phone so you know where they are at all times. If you leave one fur baby at home and take another one with you, it will show that one of your babies is with you and the other is at home with one of your “Care Team” members. Very cool option to let you know who they are with and if that person takes them for a car ride or do something that’s not within their specified safe zones. They are relatively small as well and very lightweight. We have three small Chihuahua’s and they are not at all bothered by wearing them at all. The battery life so far is great. We’ve had them three days and they turn to cellular data once they leave their Wi-Fi zone and the batter is well over 65% on one charge, so the battery life is amazing as we’ve been all over with the kids and it’s tracking nonstop and the battery isn’t dying. I HIGHLY recommend JioBits for your fur babies should they have tendency to run off or get lost or even just to know where they are when you take them for walks and let them roam off the leash. I wish we had the before our little girl went missing for 24 hours because we could have located her much quicker and saved ourselves the vet bills after she had been in the freezing cold without food and water all night. JioBit gives us the security and assurance that should our kids get out ever again, we can find them immediately and have them safely back at home! 100000000 STARS IN OUR OPINION!!!
