I recd the Merci chocolates today which I love but chocolates was expired. So disappointing.

This is low-quality chocolate in the sense that most of each candy consists of sugar and oils. The almonds have been crushed to tiny bits as a way of keeping their percent content low, and there are minimal amounts of cocoa in the recipe. On the size, the candies are wrapped individually and in a presentable manner, they melt in the mouth, and each flavor is rich, distinct, and enjoyable. This is grocery-store quality (low quality) chocolate that is presented well and relatively affordable. It is good, for example, for handing out at a simple event. It may not pass muster for gifting or for serving at a serious event.

My favorite go-to gift for my chocolate friends with refined taste. I wouldn't offer my Merci friends a candy bar from the gas station. They only receive a box of Merci from me. I have special friends.
