The One Year Devos for Animal Lovers: Cool Things Animals Show Us about Our Creator

I was hoping my seven-year-old granddaughter could easily read this but really it has worked best for an adult to read it out loud to the kids, although the devotional is written in such a way that any age could comprehend and enjoy it. I like that the devotionals are only one page and they are true to the promise that animals are part of each one. Glad I bought this.

I bought this book as a gift to a 10y old girl and she loved it. I gave her several choices, knowing she is an animal lover and this book was her final pick! She loved it!

We were looking for a devotional to go through with our grandchildren (ages 10-11). We found this one shares the importance of God's creations with His love for us as individuals. Each devotional (365 in all) comes with ideas of how to make personal applications of God's truth. This is an outstanding book that we highly recommend. Dandi is an outstanding writer and researcher that makes the stories come to life.

My very curious 8 year old keeps this in his bed at night. He can pick it up and read here and there when he can't sleep, and he's learned so much about animals. It's been a nice comforting book for him. He's extremely smart and retains the information like crazy. I would recommend this for ages 8-11.

I originally purchased this devotional for our grandson (11 years) for Christmas to encourage him to read the Bible. He told us he wants to be a veterinarian and to work with animals when he grows up so this little book is a dual blessing. When this arrived in the mail, I opened it up and immediately started reading and I found it difficult to put down. The next day I asked my husband to take a look at this little devotional book we purchased for our grandson. The next thing I knew my husband asked for one for himself for Christmas :)). The stories are all animal related with a special bible verse and a special little note section to pray for others on each page. The autor of this little book is obviously gifted with spiritual insight and the ability to incorporate this gift into the animal kingdom of God. Oh yes, I purchased one for my husband for Christmas so I can read it too :)).

I searched many devotionals for my daughter only to find many filled with attitude (slamming doors, being mean to siblings, bullying, being popular, etc). As a homeschooler my daughter doesn't face a lot of the same problems that kids face in a school atmosphere. I'm not saying she won't, but she is only 10 and hasn't had the problems mentioned in most devotionals. I definitely did not want to give her ideas either. My daughter loves this devotional. I've read many with her and I am thankful that this devotional draws off animal facts to teach a Godly lesson. I will be buying more copies for my nieces.

I have been so blessed by this book. I have been looking for a devotional that I could read with my kids. I needed a book that would be relatable for my 6 , 8 , and 10 year old. We are an animal loving family so this book seemed perfect. It uses animals facts to catch their attention while sharing messages about God and who he is. It has opened up so many discussions and teachable moments. I could not recommend this book enough!!

What a great devotional for all ages of animal lovers. I have given this book as gifts for kids in 4th grade up to my 90 year old mother-in-law. It has something for everyone. The animal facts are very interesting. But, this is also a devotional. Sometimes devotionals feel contrived to pull scripture in to the story. The correlations to scripture in this book are sharp. A quick daily read, that really gives you something to think about. This book actually can get my girls in a discussion about life and faith. This book is geared to kids, but you can draw applications to all walks of life's journey.

All kids should have that practical devotional book! My daughter can't put it down!
