I...am...Cheetah!: The Gift (Chapter Book for Kids 8-10) (The Wild Animal Kids Club)

Witchcraft
As a mom who aims to follow Biblical values, I scour book info and reviews before allowing my kids to read them. One of my kids detests reading, so I’m continually on the hunt for an appealing book to peak her interest. She loves animals, especially cats, so this book appeared to be an innocent winner for purchase. Well, just like the devil, evil slowly sneaks in. My girl was immediately engrossed, and I felt a sense of achievement. Boy, was I ever wrong! About half way through the book, my daughter began summarizing what she had read thus far. She mentioned “they blew on stones and baby jaguars appeared.” My mom radar knew exactly what had weaseled it’s way into our home—witchcraft. If you find this review a joke, move along. The enemy is subtle and delights in captivating the innocent minds of children. I rarely write reviews but felt this was needed because the modern worldly “Christian” sees nothing wrong with this. You can’t play in the fire and not be burned. I hope this review is helpful for others who also dare to seek what’s wholesome. “…but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

A Great Informational Book on Cheetahs and a Fun Read for Children
A group of friends are heading out to the Safari Park for a day of fun. What's not fun is the bully that takes over half the park and won't let anyone play where she and her group are at. That's when the friends form the Wild Animal Kids Club and they have a big secret that will help them with the bully. This is a really great book for kids who are interested in the endangered cheetah. It is informational and I love that there are facts at the end of the story that teaches more about the animal itself. The pictures are wonderful, the real ones as well as the drawings. And the kids are just every day kids, no special powers except for one thing. They all BELIEVE!This book would be a great addition to any classroom and also for parents to read to their younger children. I would recommend it to everyone. Can't wait for the next one. It's about the Wolf.

Great book for young readers
My daughter loves cheetahs. She is in second grade and this was her first chapter book. She actually kept asking to read this book. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Fun, imaginative book for 8 year old cheetah enthusiast!
Joris (8): "I really like this book! It was like it was written for me. I love cheetahs and this book is just SO COOL! I like that the kids' oldest brother shows them that with magical beads they can take wild animals from around the world. I like that it has a kind of sad ending (because they had to say goodbye to the cheetahs) but it was really good! I have a question: when will "I...Am...Wolf!" come out?"

A Hidden Gem
I stumbled across this book by typing in keywords of things my daughter was interested in. I bought it without too many expectations, but it turned out to be a fantastic book! It hits all the right notes for any 8 year old. There is magic, cute animals, a secret club, and farts and poops. What 8 to 11 year old wouldn't love that?
