In My Jungle

My son loves these types of books. Only reason this didn’t get 5 stars is because the stitching is off & where you put your finger to move the animal around is too small. The detail on the animal is off too. It’s 50/50, but I wouldn’t purchase again without seeing it first.

This board book is short and sweet but perfect for the attention span of our 5-month old. The art work is wonderful and very colourful. We bought this for our baby but our 2-year-old enjoys when I read it as well. The monkey finger puppet excites both our children and since I am controlling said puppet I can make it turn toward each of them in turn; they love this and reach out to touch the monkey. The words are simple but there is plenty of opportunity for imagination and interaction like inserting your own monkey noises (which makes it more fun to read) or, in our older child's case, asking them to identify the snack the monkey refers to that he enjoys eating. We bought another book in this series as well and it was just as much of a hit with the kids. I would definitely recommend this book, and the others like it, to anyone looking for a way to engage your child, especially really young ones, in story time.

Fun, colorful illustrations. Cute monkey puppet. I have to give it 4 stars out of 5 because "In My Tree" was my baby's clear favorite--we think the eyes on the little owl puppet really held her gaze. But this one is also worthwhile.

Our son just loves all of the "In My..." books we've read so far ("In My Jungle", "In My Patch", "In My Ocean"). He loves when we move the finger puppet while reading and loves to grab at it. He squeals with glee when we read these books. There isn't much of a story to them, but it is great for when your little one is just learning to listen to the story. The finger puppet keeps them entertained, and the simple story line is great for short attention spans :)

We particularly liked the In my Jungle story because all the pages are very vivid and engaging as you follow the little monkey on its adventure. Very cute, none of the books in this series have disappointed yet!

this is good but not as captivating as in my flower or on my leaf. the whole series is wonderfully charming and i'm so glad to have received the first as a gift (on my leaf).

My babies favorite! Such a great book and was in perfect condition.

Not as good as the "In my Meadow". The ending is split between two pages and it's a little awkward to read. The monkey and the drawings are very cute.

One sentence per page-flip. So really quick read. Good for readers with a very short attention span. The puppet is nice and well-made.

The book is really cute, but the story is not exactly great...the young kids will not know though.
