K'Lee asked for a book for Christmas. She was so excited when it arrived in the mail and it was for her. She called me and read some pages to me. I loved that she loved it.

Long before the sad George Floyd incident, along with so many others, Blacks were struggling to even be recognized as people. I’ve loved learning about Harriet Tubman since I was a child and bought this for my niece for her 10th birthday. She read it quickly and loved her gift. This was back in April. Who would’ve guessed that 2 months later we would watch the world crumbling again over more racist brutality. A great book to help with necessary conversations with youngsters.

This great little book tells Harriets story in a concise, easy to read way. Perfect for older children or anyone wanting to know the facts of this remarkable woman's life.

This book was purchased for the library at a large shelter for women and their children, if they have any. The shelter provides a broad roster of services for those the victims of domestic and/or sexual violence. The book tells the story of Harriet Tubman in chapter book style and is perfect for strong elementary age readers. The story is well written in prose that has just enough challenge to teach, enhance, and stretch reading skills further. A definite worthwhile addition to any children's library!

Great book for my 10 year old.

This was purchased as a read aloud in a second grade classroom. My students love listening and discussing the life of Harriet Tubman. It really makes history come alive.
