Islander Canvas Flip-Flops

I wasn’t sure what to expect, I mean a flip flop is a flip flop after all. When they arrived, the packet was thinner then expected; the usual foam sole wasn’t I’m evidence but I was impressed with the colour, feel and finish of said flip flop. The sole felt plastic-y so figured they’d be sore on the feet and hard to wear.I put them on today for the first time and have worked in them for the last 6 hours, my job has me standing for up to 10 hours a day walking over and back a tiled floor. My feet feel great, cool and no running from the toe post which is what I hate most about flip flops. The heel of the foam flip flops usually starts to break down, squish after a couple of hours from weight being placed in them but after said 6 hours the Gumbies are still like new.Upshot is that I’ve just ordered a second pair. Don’t expect them to be like other flip flops.

Now the second pair of GUMBIES that I own. Absolutely brilliant. Comfy, hard wearing, easy to wash and just perfect for use as slippers or outside with shorts / Jean's or indeed dresses. Just superb ... recommended....

Love these flip flops. So comfortable. They support the arch of the foot and the piece which goes between the toes is comfortable to wear.

After a rather hasty lockdown from our office in March, i realised belatedly that all my summer shoes were quarantined at work. Not a problem during March and most of April, but then the heatwave arrived.Only one thing to do, buy more shoes. In common with most of the UK population, i spend around 95% of my time at home in these strange times, but my slippers were becoming too warm (and frankly, i'm not going to go down to the post box or bins in my slippers. i haven't reached that level!).A quick browse on Amazon for fitflops produced these beauties, my only problem was which of the colours to pick. i settled for Hibiscus pink in my normal size (going by other reviews). They arrived super quickly, 2 days after ordering and were so comfy right from the outset.I would point out that in my case, they run a little large, so if (when) i buy another pair, i'll go for a 6.5 instead of a 7. It doesn't really matter with flipflops, but they are a bit big for me.i love these shoes!

Absolutely love these flip flops so comfortable, can walk for miles in these, straps so comfortable as canvas NOT rubber which make feet hot and sweat so tend to slip around. Such beautiful designs and colour go with everything, use them as slippers in winter.

I discovered Gumbies a few years ago in my local garden centre and have been wearing successive pairs of them ever since, with all subsequent pairs ordered online. I wear these with just about everything (weather permitting!) and also keep a tatty pair as slippers. Love the product. Good quality. Last really well. Comfortable in a way that you absolutely wouldn't get from other flip flops. The toe bar is sufficiently padded and does not rub. The fabric strapping is positioned correctly to keep these quite securely on your feet and as the base is slightly shaped to support your foot. Hard-wearing soles. Footwear can be washed - keep the temperature low.

I decided to take a punt as I had a feeling this year would be the year for sandals. I'm not usually a sandals wearer and like support and cushioning in my shoes. These however have been the exception to the rule for me. I admit they took a few days over a week to break them in as my feet weren't used to having a string between the toes but, they are ace and I wear them about the house and out and about now, so comfortable and seem to be wearing well. I expect Ive walked about 100 miles or so in them and they are still comfy and have plenty of tread on the soles left. If anything I think wearing them have helped strengthen my feet and haven't affected the arthritis I have in my knees. The soles are contoured to the sole of your feet and feel great from the outset, it was just the toe strap that took it's time with me.If your wondering if you should buy these then do it, I cant imagine I am the only one that questioned buying them but if you are don't worry, these are a great pair of sandals and I'll be buying more for next year - maybe I wont even need to if they keep wearing like they are, makes them even ore of a great purchase.

I have bought Gumbies flip flops before and love them. They are comfortable from day one. Liked them so much I bought a pair for my sister in law.
