I recently realized that when my boyfriend and I travel we rarely take any photos together. I am not interested in photos taken from a selfie stick, so I decided to search for other options. I came across this cell phone tripod adapter, and realized I already have one of those small tripods with flexible legs to use for a handheld camera and that this would fit it perfectly. I was worried that I would have problems fitting it to my iPhone 5s or my boyfriend's iPhone 6s, but it fits both! (And not to mention, we did not have to take our phone cases off either which is a huge plus!)The end of the adapter that is not connected to the tripod slides upwards to adjust to any phone. It's hard to tell from the photos that it does because it looked like a solid piece of plastic, but when the top part is pushed up it adjusts to your phone size. It is not super hard to adjust, but it will also not release (or drop) your phone until you physically take it out. It is also lightweight and the perfect size to throw in any backpack because it hardly takes up any space. Once my cell phone is inserted to the adapter (and the adapter is already on the tripod) I bend the legs and hook it to any bench, tree, rock, etc. nearby. The iPhone 5s (and I'm sure many others as well) has a timer for the camera so I set that up, get in place and take the photo.Now I make a point to take this with me on vacations so we can get beautiful, scenic photos of us together while we are out hiking or adventuring. I would definitely recommend this to any travelers; whether you are traveling alone or in a group, this will help you get awesome photos to help remember and reminisce your trip.

Good quality, proper screw hole size. Definitely a good item to have to give you options for mounting smaller devices or putting them on a tripod. Combined with other support gear, is great to have handy.

Update (12/18/15): After using this adapter frequently for a few months, I'm happy to report that it is still working well for me. I haven't had any issues with durability or functionality. I still highly recommend this adapter!-----------------------------------------------My phone's camera is much better than my digital camera, and since I've taken up amateur photography, I needed an adapter to securely attach my phone to my tripod. I looked around a lot and I saw one that has been recommended by many YouTubers, but it cost a bit more than I was willing to pay, so I did a lot of research, reading all kinds of reviews, and chose this one instead. I'm glad I did. While I can't speak to long term durability, I can say that it holds my phone very securely. I am not worried at all about it coming out of the adapter. There is an internal spring and it actually took a bit of muscle to get my Galaxy S4 (with a silicone cover) into it, but once it was in, it was fine. There is foam padding on the part behind the phone, and there is rubber on the short ends that hold the edges of the phone, and they have little indentations in them to hold the phone in place. It also has holes so that you can position your phone on the tripod in either landscape or portrait orientation.Overall, this is a good product, and I definitely recommend it. I'll update later if I run into any problems, but right now it's great!

I bought this because I have a selfie stick that came with one very similar. I couldn't see the build quality and it's not as good as the one that came with the selfie stick. I'm using that for a mount in the car to securely hold my phone. I have need for a very secure phone mount in the car. This will work just fine for the selfie stick, but only time will tell if it will hold up for the long haul.I like the fact that it does have the two 1/4" threaded attach points. It will work with a standard tripod. The spring is strong and will hold the phone securely. For $8, it's worth it. If you want something more secure and a better build quality, you might want to try one of the more expensive one. I don't use the selfie stick often, so this works GREAT for that.

I just bought the new Microsoft Lumia 640 (not the XL) and since it has a much better camera than the Lumia 635, I wanted a way to attach the phone to a tripod for shooting video/pictures and other hands free stuff.I didn't want anything super expensive because I probably wont be using it all that much, but it might come it very handy when on road trips.For the money, the build quality is pretty good but I don't think it will hold up to being stepped on. The spring action is quite strong and grips my phone really well. It has a tripod socket on the back and the bottom for portrait or landscape mounting.It has rubber pretty much everywhere where it comes in contact with the phone, so you don't have to worry about scratching your device.It fits my Microsoft Lumia 640 perfect with not a lot of room to spare. However when using the  Cimo Premium Slim TPU Flexible Soft Clear Case  it fits, but its not super secure, so I'd recommend just taking off the case.Overall, I really like it. For the price, you can't go wrong. I recommend it. 5 stars from me.

I was looking for a product that I could “simply” attach to my iPhone and then attach it to whatever I want. In this case a tripod that I own that uses a quick release system. This adapter works perfectly. I did not want something with built in features or other kinds of “legs” but something simple and basic. This fits my needs, as a matter of fact I just purchased a second one so I could attach it to my desk tripod at work for the many WebEx and zoom calls that I have to do now. I guess the best compliment you can make to something is... “if it went missing, I would go right out and buy another one to replace it”

This cell phone adapter works really well. It is spring-loaded and clamps your cell phone very firmly. Some may feel it is a bit too firm, and it can be a bit awkward getting a phone in and out, but that is more of a personal preference issue. The adapter seems well-built and durable.

Overpriced.....still satisfied with the product quality.

It has a thigh grip allowing quite a bit of movements without risks to loose the phone. Rubber protections prevent scratching the phoneGiven the simplicity of the product at 9 GBP it is perhaps a bit too expensive but no complain on quality

It’s strong and sturdier than the one that came with a camera tripod I bought. But be careful with it regardless the spring mech is inside u can’t see so if it comes off not sure you will be able to get it back in.All in all - great simple and easy to use. Has 2 screw holes for mount positioning for your phone. I use an iPhone 7+ so should work with most phones of that size. Grips are soft and easy to slip on and off. I didn’t measure the full open span of the clamp. But like I said it works with i7+ so should be good.

Measure twice, order once. This adaptor JUST fit my not too big cell when mounted horizontally. There are tripod threads on all sides. I have been using it to reduce movement and shake on my cell phone videos and it works well.
