Super Comfy!
I bought my very first pair of Chacos back in 2017 when they were first getting popular. I had surgery on the top of my foot and they were one of the few sandals that the straps didn’t rub on my scar. I have to wear shoes with backs due to my surgery as well so I figured I would try them out. I was obsessed! They lasted until about four month ago when my puppy got ahold of them and chewed through the strap. This is now my second pair. When I saw they were on sale I ordered without hesitation. I love them. Just as comfortable as my first pair. For the reviews complaining about the straps I found that once you get them adjusted mostly how you like them, wear them around for a bit and the straps will slowly adjust to your feet. I ordered a size 8. I normally wear between a 7.5 and 8.

AMAZING!
These are so wonderful! I have some nerve damage in my right ankle and foot, which makes it really hard to wear sandals. The high arch of these and the adjustable straps are so amazing! Plus they are pretty cute for what they are. My only complaint is the straps are a little long and drag on the ground unless you tuck them in. I can deal with that though. They are super comfy and didn't need any breaking in. I seriously couldn't be happier! I typically wear a 9.5 and have narrow feet, the 9 was perfect for me.

Defective
My right shoe fit beautifully but the left had a short strap that didn’t even allow my foot to try on. Very cute but unfortunately returned.

Almost perfect! But this extra strap length, ugh
I love the support, fit, and look of these so very much so far! Quality is on par with some of the better Skechers hiking sandals I've owned, and I can tell these will be durable. They're also cute! But darn the extra length on those adjustable straps!! After putting the sandals on and adjusting them, the strap slack touches the floor because the excess is about 5 inches. I bought the solid black colored sandals so that they could be worn to the office with nice pants and not seem like obvious sportswear. The color/style achieve that look, but the long strap on each foot dangling off looks sloppier than I'd like and just doesn't make sense. Why isn't there a little slot to tuck it into? I wear a 7 and do not have unusually small feet or ankles--quite average. Am I missing something? I do see the strap hanging off a little on other reviewers' pics but not looking SO long; so I don't think there's a way to deal with it. It's not like you can cut them--they'd fray and look worse. Maybe a tailor or even a luggage repair place could just shorten the strap for me and stitch it up professionally. But that's a cost. Or I could fiddle with the straps myself, with my remedial sewing skills. They're otherwise quality sandals and I got a great deal, nearly 40% off of the normal price. But I would have passed if I'd been aware that these things would dangle off both ankles like two little black tails :( The more I look at it, the more annoying it is.There are more positives about these Chacos than the very annoying strap issue, so still 4 stars.Perhaps folks with bigger feet/ankles than mine would have less slack?(Pardon the dirty office floor in the pic; I'm at work lol)

Awesome
I’m a size 8 on my right and 8.5 (more like an 8.3 lol) on my left but always size up to 8.5 or 9, however, I ordered a size 8 for two reasons, I knew I’d be in and out of cold water and I have narrow feet. Since these are adjustable straps I knew my slightly larger foot would not be squeezed inside a shoe and so I took a risk. So glad I did! It barely makes any difference and there being less sandal material poking over the top of my toes means less awkward steps and less tripping on uneven terrain.Adjusting the straps takes some familiarity with the design as it is one continuous band and if you don’t know how to adjust them it can be frustrating if you’re in a hike, so take a day or two wearing them at home to see if it’s your thing. Also there’s the toe strap which is an additional nuisance at first if you’ve never used this type of shoe before, as it can be restrictive and uncomfortable, especially if you’re not lacing it correctly. These two things could be too annoying for some people and that’s understandable. I mean, I love them but they are not for everybody.WARNING these have a real breaking in period, I’d say they were painful and uncomfortable for about 3 miles. Don’t break these in on the trail unless you are packing another set of shoes to change into. But, I love them, I can go from hiking around the beach, to swimming with them, to trails and to walking around town in the same day and they feel great on. Great arch support and flexible and lightweight.I’m a convert.

Great, comfy sandals!!!
I love these comfortable sandals!!! I bought them, when I could get the "Sale Price",.....they are quite high priced without the sale. I ordered the "Gold color", and went back and ordered the black pair!! They are amazing sandals,...I will use them for golfing too, because the bottom tread is great for on the golf course!!

A little tight
Never thought I had fat feet but perhaps with these I do. I think they might stretch over time so I’m keeping them but just know the straps are not super stretchy and can be a bit tight if you don’t have skinny feet.Over all the material is fantastic, color is beautiful.

There’s nothing I liked
I needed a pair of comfortable black sandals and thought I’d try these Chacos. Honestly, I don’t get the hype. Yes, you can adjust or ‘customize’ the fit but it results in the extra strap length hanging down a solid 2-3” nearly dangling on the ground. Ugly. Surely whomever designed these sandals would have considered this. I thought about just cutting it off, but heck, why am I buying new sandals with straps that I have to cut off?? Onto the comfort level. I thought they would be supportive and comfy. Not. The kinda pebbly sole has no cush, no comfort. Can’t imagine walking any length in these sandals. As a comparison, I’ve worn Born, Earth, Teva, etc. which I can attest to their comfort and support. Not these. Sadly, they are going back. Thank you, Amazon, for making the return easy. Chaco, I know you can do better than this.

Me encantaron
