Love it!
I considered this pen for a long time before buying…and still wasn’t sure when I did. So happy with it. It writes beautifully, out of the box. No skipping, no hard starts, no railroading. Great ink flow. Smooth with a whispery feedback. I have the soft fine, line width with light to normal pressure is about the same as other Pilot fine nibs. If you push it, you can wider lines, but I didn’t get it for that reason, so I probably won’t be putting too much pressure on the nib. Sometimes these types of nibs “soften” up a little with use, but I haven’t noticed that. Only negative is the tiny converter, and that it’s too small for a con-70, but I’m just using a cartridge, which I can refill with a syringe. Love this pen, a pleasure to write with - so glad I finally got it!

Great pen with a wonderful nib, small ink capacity
This is a great pen. I bought the soft-medium nib and it is a pleasure to write with. It has a lovely bounce/springiness to it that can give you very slight line variation with different pressure. That said, this is NOT a flex or even semi-flex nib. Pushing it too hard would certainly spring it. If you want real flex you need to move into dip pens or go vintage. The nib and feed came tuned perfectly and write without issue every time. Forgot to clean it out at first and had some skipping/hard starts, but that was my own fault. As soon as I gave it a nice rinse with some water and dish soap it has performed beautifully. The one potential downside of this pen is its limited ink capacity. It will only fit a con-50 or older con-20 converter. If you use cartridges that is not an issue, but it could be for those who like bottled ink. I'm honestly unsure why Pilot has designed the Falcon to be incompatible with the Con-70 convertor. The barrel of this pen is identical in diameter to the Custom Heritage 91, which does fit the larger converter. For some reason, the Falcon's barrel interior has four flat, raised plastic parts that extend down the length of the barrel. These don't seem to serve any obvious purpose other than preventing you from inserting the larger converter. Maybe Pilot wants to keep the larger converter and ink capacity as a selling point for the much more expensive Metal Falcon.

It is red ink
It is red ink for goodness sake, not Chanel. It writes nicely, but it is just ink,.

The Resin Pilot Falcon SB offers a smooth and wet writing experience with a soft nib and very little line variation.
My resin Pilot Falcon bold is perfect. It arrived writing very smooth and wet. The nib is wonderfully soft (but not "flex") and it's a joy to write with. Bold Falcons do not have much line variation. Get an SEF or SF if you want more line variation. The resin Falcon is very lightweight but feels well made. Because of its weight you can use it for hours and hours with no fatigue. Falcons work better at a low writing angle. About 45 degrees is good. The resin Falcon can not fit the larger CON-70 converter but it can fit the CON-50. (Get a metal Falcon if you need more ink capacity.)The resin Falcon weighs about 10g unposted and 19g unposted. A curious fact: a resin Falcon, posted, is the same weight as an unposted metal Falcon. The red plastic of the red resin Falcon is attractive. It's not a dull color but it's not a super bright color either... it's just right. It's about as saturated as you can get while still looking like a professional pen.

Great soft nib for drawing.
Falcon is my first $100 plus range fountain pen with 14 kt gold nib and I'm in love with this pen. Soft and flexible nib provides incredible line variation. Without any pressure, it draws like any 0.2 mm fountain pen, but you flex the nib up to a few millimeters width with medium pressure. I use it mainly for drawing, and it's preferred by many artists and sketchers. Please note that this pen is very very light, (10 gr without cap, 19 gr. capped), so if you are not a fan of light pens, you may consider buying the metal version which costs roughly $100 more.

Beautiful Writing Pen, but Lacks Line Variation
I'm an illustrator. I typically work with brush pens (Kuretake and Pentel), Nib Holders (dip), and microns. I'm a big fan of Anthony Holden, and love his line variety. I decided to try a pen he uses (this one) to experiment with the different techniques to make my line art "pop" or have a better visual appeal. Unfortunately, the pen just does not give a thick enough line. Note, I do not like how thick the Pentel Pocket Brush puts out. This pen would be perfect if I could just get a tad more width out of the line. I reached out to Anthony Holden, and gave me some tips. Turns out there are shops that have the ability to adjust your nib to your desire. One of those is "Mike it Work, LLC"So, when he opens back up after this pandemic threat is over, I will send my pen in and see what happens. Hope it helps.Nevertheless, if you're looking for a great writing pen for most scenarios (outside of calligraphy), this is a great fountain pen.

Excellent Pen...Poor packaging/Condition
This pen was supposed to come with a blue cartridge and a converter. The cartridge was missing, and the barrel was wet with traces of black ink...looks like someone pulled the cartridge out before shipping. Very messy...when you get a new pen, you want to write with it, not spend an hour cleaning it.The pen itself is quite nice. It feels comfortable in the hand. Writing is smooth...no scratching.

Smooth Extra Fine Writer
The Pilot Falcon EF is a great pen to write with. It flexes well with some pressure. I haven’t dealt with any railroading. Compared to my Lamy 2000 EF, the Pilot Falcon is not as smooth, but it’s not scratchy at all like my Pilot Kakuno EF, and it can produce a very fine line, which I like for writing in smaller notebooks! The CON40 converter is a bit small, but I just use a syringe to refill the Pilot ink cartridge.

Beautiful writing instrument if you have the light touch
I will start off by saying if you are buying this pen for regular use and also expecting line variation, then you will be disappointed. The nib is soft but its not an easy flex, so line variation can be achieved only by applying extra pressure which in turn makes the pen not an EDC candidate. That said, if you have a light touch, the pen is so amazing. I got it in Extra fine nib since I use only Fine and Extra fine nibs, and the nib is really smooth for someone like me. The feed and the nib are so efficient that with the slightest touch on the paper it writes, and I feel like I am writing in the air. If your writing style is like mine, this pen will become one of your favourites. I have Sailor 1911 in Fine and Platinum Century in Soft fine, yet I have to say this pen will bring something new to the table. Only negative aspect is that its not elegant looking as Sailor or Platinum in rhodium trims.

Excellent pen, slightly high price.
This is an excellent pen from Pilot. Beautiful nib, butter smooth, perfect right out of the box. It's a plus that they include a converter with the pen, because platinum doesn't. However, the price is a pretty steep. This Falcon retails around $152 in most international stores. That's around ₹10000. So keep that in mind. If you can, it's better to buy abroad. However, it is also worth noting that if you buy it online, between shipping and customs you will end up paying around the same amount.

Three Thumbs Up.
There's all kinds of good happening here. I love the vibrant finish, and the flexible nib is pretty dreamy. Not worth waiting for if you've got the cash to make it happen.

A decent pen
The nib of this pen is a lot stiffer than I thought, and it does sings a tiny bit. The pen is very well balanced, the cap can post and does not through off the balance. Just another regular pilot pen, not much to see comparing to other pens in the same price range.
