Thick and sticky . I like the dipples to let one know that it is pressed on correctly. I only use to 30% coverage on sheet metal, door panels. Any more and you have very little sound reduction benefit just adding more weight.

I ordered this to add soundproofing to the interior of a dishwasher enclosure. The material came in a small but heavy roll. It was easy to measure and cut. The mat adhered firmly. It required quite a bit of pressure with the included roller to flatten the metal top layer.There is a noticable reduction in audible noise in the kitchen now when running the dishwasher. For such a small investment, we are satisfied with the results.

I like the thicker foil. Be careful of sharp edges.

I like this stuff especially on the interior firewall, makes it look like a space capsule. Dampens the sound and that gives you more confidence to drop the hammer. Radiant heat is lessened. Doors shut without transients. Exhaust soundings depend on ride height so the lower you are the more you will need. 80mil is 8 DBs at a ride height of 6 inches. Which is equivalent to a voice talking to a voice whispering. This is just a good science working.

Best value for price on Amazon. Mine was 56$ at time of purchase for 36 sqft and a roller. There was no better deal.Does the job like everything else. It'll quiet things like wheel well sounds and door sounds but I feel like it is less and less effective for mid to high range sounds.The main thing about this kit is that it's good value.
