Love these so much
I cant understand why anyone would give this product a poor review. For one thing, it's a $5 kubotan, so can you really consistently abuse it in your every day carry or punch a BOB bag really hard while training and expect it to hold up for eternity? Second, it is in fact an excellent product. I have been collecting and USING impact weapons for decades, and this is one of those things that I will NEVER FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE BE WITHOUT. Not only can you really injure an attacker and save your life, but you can use it on pressure points to control a drunk person without actually causing great bodily injury. This piece has been my edc for about 6 months now and I havent had any problems at all. If you're worried about the spikes coming unscrewed then use some loctite, problem solved.I guarantee that this kubotan will get you out of a sticky situation. You may possibly need to replace it if you use it in an altercation with a deadly amount of force, but that is the best peace of mind I've ever bought for $5, and I would happily buy that again.

Brutal in its simplicity
These things are a devastating self defense option assuming you can land the hit. I bought the pair so both my wife and I could have one, she rides the metro in DC for work and if you’ve ever taken the red line anywhere on a weekday you know self defense is something you should probably pick up. The weapon is a sturdy steel build with easily unscrewed lateral spikes. Make no mistake the lack of ergonomics is testament to the damage you can inflict from a single well placed hit to the sweet meats, one hit, this is not a weapon designed for prolonged use. My only complaints is after a while of carrying it the spikes can loosen and need to be retightened. Other than that though no complaints here.

Only for small hands - Check State and Local Laws first.
Tool is only 5 1/16" in total length. Most Kubotans measure 5 1/2 - 6". This tool is 1/2" in diameter a 6 sided aluminum bar sharpened to a pencil point at one end. THIS WILL PUNCTURE A STEEL CAN leaving a 50 calliber hole - which my PD classifies as a stabbing weapon. There is no grip on this tool except for the 'fangs' protruding from the side. The spacing between the fangs is 3/4" too small for me to comfortably get my finger into. The 'fangs' are screwed into the bar and come loose easily. You'll need automotive thread locker to hold them in tight. The point on the 'fangs' is slightly less lethal. With the 'fangs' on my PD classifies this as 'Brass knuckles' making them legal to own but illegal to carry or use. Check your own State and Local laws before purchase. This tool is more Tacti-Cool than Tactical.

Flimsy
Thought the price was too good to be true. Turns out these are hollow aluminum. The prongs weren't even attached when I got them. I found a solid steel pronged kubaton online and just ordered that in place of these. These MIGHT last for one punch if one is forced to defend themselves.

Oh Yea !!!!!!
You ever feel the need for a little something you can carry in your pocket . Ever feel like you have no chance to protect yourself . Then this little thing is what you have been needing!!!!!!! This thing is made from solid steel . And it fits in either hand . One blow of this , no more problems ! I bought one , gave as a gift . Bought 2 more for gifts. And ended up buying one for everyone in my family. Every single person said they feel safe and thanked me for it. I keep mine in the console of my car ,just in case. One end is like a sharpened pencil ,the other end is flat and then it has a #2 steel pieces that come out between your fingers . So it hits from 4 different ways ! Solid steel hurts .

These are intense and bigger than I expected; ended up returning them.
These require someone to have some training, I think, to prevent them from being grabbed and used on the victim instead. Initially I thought these would be good to have on a key chain/accessible as a self-defense item. However even with the measurements and pictures they were MUCH bigger and more intense than I expected.Someone with some know-how may appreciate these, but I felt more vulnerable in case these were somehow turned around and used on me. Too much of a risk, so I did return them.
