XCAR 2-Bike Universal Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier Rack for Car Trailer with 2" Receiver

Excellent product at a great price. Tools are supplied with rack, however, use of socket wrenches made assembly super easy. I used the rack a few times now and it is sturdy on the back of my SUV. I truly like the included rubber straps for securing the bike on the rack (See attached pics). The bike mounts are adjustable to accommodate different bike frames, so care should be observed for correct angles of the mounts to the frame. The rack isn't all that heavy, and install and removal from the car hitch is a breeze. The pins are easy to snap in and out for removal. The rack can be lowered by removing the lower pin for opening the rear door or trunks in a vehicle. Recommend getting this rack, you will not be disappointed.

Very easy to assemble, to install, and to use. Holds the bikes securely. It does rattle a little, even with the rattle inhibitor installed, but that's to be expected. The arm folds down easily, by pulling a pin, when you need to get into the trunk.

I bought one of these 3 years ago. I've used it with my old Schwinn Continental and my new dual sport.It's been mounted on my Expedition outside the whole time.It has worked great, but the hard rubber saddles have begun to crack and fail. XCAR does not have replacement parts. But, I found good replacements on Amazon. ASENDIWAY part BIK-BL01. They fit nicely and seem better than the original.

I don't often write reviews but of the 8 or 10 similar products on Amazon I am glad I picked this bike rack. Very well made, easy to assemble and use. Does not shake or rattle at all with 2 adult mountain bikes. I used the included strap and just one extra bungie cord to secure the bikes. Definitely recommend for the money.

I have had the bike carrier rack for 2 weeks. The rack works very well. The issue is with the paint job. It appears that they painted over rusted metal, since the paint is peeling off on the upper area and there is rust already underneath.

This bike carrier took a bit to assemble, but no major problems. I didn't realize it's pretty much hard bolted to the hitch receiver, so not an easy on/off by any means. But once in place, I've lugged bikes several times now and came away with full confidence in its performance and security. I do use a velcro strip (provided) to keep the front wheel in one place, and a long cable lock if concerned about leaving the bike on the carrier for any time. Overall very pleased with the purchase!

The bike hitch was easy to install and sturdy. The problem I ran into caused significant damage to a bike that was loaned to me. One of the screws holding on the bike tube holders was backwards so that it was pointing out. The rest were all pointing in. I thought, “That’s weird, but I’m sure they did it for some reason.” They did not. Once you screw the bolts in, you can’t screw them out. I figured there wasn’t going to be a problem. Loaded up the bike and headed out. I found out when I got home that the screw had been digging into my friends $1700 bike the whole time I was driving it down the road, causing deep scratches in the down tube. I tried taking the part off and screwing it the correct way but couldn’t get the screw out. When I tried to remove the tube holder, it scratched the hitch tubing. The result is now seriously dinged bike and a hitch that can potentially scratch the hell out of the next bike i put on it. I’m going to have to cut down the screw with a angle grinder to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Really really disappointed.

This rack is great! Easy to put together, two minutes! Don’t forget to strap your front wheel to the frame. Pull one pin and the rack folds out so you can access your tailgate or hatch with ease. Perfect solution for easily taking our bikes anywhere.
