We use to fill in gaps in a log home!

I purchased the backer rod to fill cracks in my driveway before caulking them in. It's a well-made backer rod and easy to use.

I bought this online as none of the local hardware stores cares the 1/4 inch size. Better value also, as you pay less per foot. Did not need a100 ft but there is some in my supply cabinet now.

As far as I know, all filler rope like this is the same. And this is as good as all the other rope I've used.

Saves a lot of caulking with my large upstairs window, thus getting me back down on the ground much quicker.

I live in an older apartment and had bad drafts where the floor trim and carpet meet (weird, I know), because my apartment has a basement underneath and has likely settled, leaving this gap and airflow between the two. Anyhow, I needed something to stuff in the gap to stop the draft, and this worked perfectly! I got the 1/2 inch, 100 feet, and it was plenty. I was able to easily poke it under my floor trim, where it's supposed to meet the carpet, with ease. It filled in the gaps, and I have no more freezing drafts! The money I spent will help cut my heating and cooling, so I'm a very happy camper. The product was easy to shape, bendable, and easy to cut with scissors if needed.

Needed to fill some gaps letting air in. This product is cheap, easy to use, and WORKS! Awesome.

If you have a wide gap to fill, and this backer rod isn't wide enough, you're probably going to be out of luck. Luckily the width was just right in my case. Not sure if there's anything else besides color that's different than what I ordered. That said, the rod color was supposed to be gray, but they sent me a black one. While the rod has been hidden underneath caulk, I only lowered the rating because I don't like ordering one thing and getting something else.

Product was as described. I used it to assist with flooring installation.

I used it inside the bottom seal of a garage door to puff it up and help prevent water and critters from entering. It worked just as I wanted.

I received the package in good order, and bag was sealed. It worked fine, but had to double/bend the rope a few times to ensure the thickness to fill the gap before caulking. Next time, I'll order a thicker rope!
