Great solution to distribute surveillance footage to TV's
This is a great solution to distribute an HDMI signal throughout and existing cable system. I'm using it to transmit a feed from my surveillance system to several TV's in my home. There was no need to do any wiring because all the TV's were already wired for coax. The surveillance footage shows up on channel 69.1 along with the other over-the-air channels. Please note that I don't have cable or satellite TV. I'm using an aerial for local channels and a Roku for paid content. This product probably would NOT be compatible with most digital cable or satellite systems. At least I don't think you could get your HDMI output to show up on a cable or satellite box channel.The installation was not very intuitive. I did have to read the manual, but it was clearly written and the set up went very smoothly. The picture looks great on several different TV brands. The only downside is the high price.One issue is that the case is wider than standard 19" rack. Therefore, it can only be installed from the back of the rack which could be a compatibility issue. I wanted to use it on my smaller telcom rack but it was too wide. I ended up have to use a large server rack.
