I bought two pieces, the leaf pattern guard, and the wild boar head, to make a knife. The boar head was detailed with nice looking features and tusks. The leaf pattern finger guard was another story. There were small flaws in the (supposed to be) smooth surface of the top of the guard, and one very large divot at the end of the finger guard tab, on the side (see attached photo). It is a brass casting so some minor flaws are to be expected. The smaller flaws on the top of the guard can be polished out, but the large divot (2-3 mm) cannot be removed without major work reshaping the guard profile. (Update 2/22/2022) After a negative review the seller has offered to refund the cost of the defective part. This may take a while due to the pending war in the Ukraine. I will update again.

this brass end cap, adds the perfect touch to a hunter, or Skinner knife build. it makes it personal for the hunter that owns it. the brass carving of the bear is done in a classic manner. a easy way to take that knife to the next level. the finnish on this piece is great.
