Great beginner book for fashion enthusiasts, very informative!

I bought this along with a couple of other fashion books for my young niece who is keen to follow a career in desgin of some type or another. The book is nicely presented with two or three pages on each desgner which is just enought to get to know the basics and keep my niece interested in reading on. It is a good start to her finding out what she may be further interested in following.

Good overview, I like it. Recommendable for the quick look and search for basic information.

I think some important designers are missing, but OK the limit is 50...

as per one of the previous reviews - the book has just the right amount of information about the 50 most popular designers in the field. Apart of the obvious ones, like Tom Ford or YSL, there is some I have not hear of myself.If you do have an interest in fashion you would definitely find this as a book worth having

As I teacher I wanted a book that gives an overview of fashion designers that can be dipped in and out of by myself and the KS4 pupils I teach. has been very inspirational a good buy.

Bought as a gift, my friend seemed pleased with it and she's a fashion addict. Her teenage duaghter also read it and enjoyed it.

This book is well written and the photos give a pretty good impression of the designer. But in my opinion several great designers are missing (French/Italian and Danish e.g.) and others could have been dropped.

The joy of this book is looking through it and recognizing the best these designers created. The timeline across the top of the page is a fun/ informative feature. Pleased with the purchase.

This book has plenty of information on all of the 50 notable designers recommended. To back this up, there are high-quality pictures of two or three of each of the designers creations. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is wanting to learn about some of the top designers in the industry!

My 12 year old daughter wants to be a fashion designer. I bought her this book to add to her fashion library. I wanted her to know many of these designers. There are some standards such as Chanel but some more modern designers as well. She loved it and reads it all the time. I'm very happy with the book and recommend it to anyone who likes to look at fashion and wants to learn a little bit about the different designers.

Great photos & good info. Makes a great table book

Good condition, love the content of this book. The photographs are huge and beautiful. It also has a unique timeline bar at the top of the pages showing you what was going on at that time.
