love this author
Enjoying this author. Deep thought provoking and relatable to bigger picture of life. Parallel Universe and Levels of energy great to check out. Using a lot of what I learned in everyday life. I have been on this path of enlightenment for years and these books came a perfect timing.

Favorite Dodson book yet - but why horrible people?
This is the most impactful book of Dodson' I've read yet. I've read five so far, I started with Parallel Universes it's great. However this book gave me a new perspective to step back and view our current life is just blip in the many journeys we will go on. If it doesn't seem to work out perfectly, we have many other gos. When you are learning to ski you don't think this is my one hill! I won't ever have another hill, I have to ski it perfectly or my life is a failure. You keep going down the bunny hill for awhile, then you graduate to increasingly more difficult slopes. It's all good and fun! Likewise we get many chances with life too, on earth if we want. One thing that didn't seem to be addressed (beyond liking contrast) is why a soul would choose to come into a life as a horrible person that causes pain to other people or to a great many people. To be a jerk or idiot. I don't need to experience something personally to understand it or feel sympathy for how awful it must feel if you are that person. What if all of us souls agreed not to come in as that person? Or are those people soul-less (I have heard that before but not in this book)? Then to come back the next time as the victim of a horrible person to balance it out. Why? I won't go to the overly trotted out Hitler example. Let's say you come in as a family beating narcissistic alcoholic swindler who robs widows of life savings. Then you come back as an abused child or a victimized widow. Why are any of those necessary in the greater scheme of things?Maybe he addresses that in a yet unread book. I actually would like to know because applying this book I am confused when I see those people. Let's say a certain Orange Man. Do I realize, oh they are a great soul playing this role! And so loving that soul has agreed to return next as one of his misogynistic victims. Or someone who was injured by the shots he is still so proud to take credit for. (and i could equally use the example of the current near-cadaver in the WH, this is not partisan) But why do either roles need to exist? I know Dodson says souls love contrast, but contrast can come without abusing someone. There are many types of contrast. A delicious pizza and bad pizza lol. I live in Sedona and I've also lived in Bangkok, huge contrast! I am confused on the grander purpose how it helps to have destructive and victim roles. He does mention that we can't make Earth too good or it won't be a great training planet. Still, why do we have to live the role of the bad person in order to understand it? And why are so many of us inspired to help others if we don't want it getting too great? Maybe a book on The Purpose of Earth as a Training Ground. Like I said, he may already have this.I do love this book, and especially for anybody who has been through some tough times or loss of loved ones. I also recommend Mike Dooley's book Ten Things Dead People Want You to Know. He mentions dogs in it too, if you lost a sweet pup :-)
