We're longtime fans of Kona coffee. Always look for a bargain as the prices has escalated over the years so that now it's usually a prohibitive cost. Heard a lot about Imagine in the cuppers ratings. It is a "medium dark roast" which is usually not the best for bringing out the flavors in extra fancy Kona. It was a bit too dark for our taste... which seemed burnt, not just toasty. But it's just a minor defect, given that other outstanding characteristics still make this a very good coffee. The beans did appear to be extra fancy grade, and we got this at a very good price for that level of quality. If you like the strength of the extra roasting, you'll probably give this 5 stars. But we were one-star disappointed.

Last year I purchased a 4 oz bag of Imagine Kona coffee and was without a doubt the best i've had. Beans were fresh and shiny with amazing flavor. So at this price i took a chance and upgraded to the 8 oz bag back in 12/19, and again great coffee. Well 8 months later i wanted to splurge again, and purchased the 8 oz bag. WOW what a difference. The bag on the outside is the same, but that's about it. hardly no flavor, the beans are dull, and at this price you would expect consistency. Maybe its withe country in practical lockdown i don't know. Been trying to contact the seller, it's a NY number and ask's to leave a message. hopefully they will rectify this. UPDATE 8/26 The seller from 3hproducts returned my call and sent me a fresh bag and understood my disappointment, because this also is his favorite coffee. I inquired where on the packaging it states this is indeed the Extra Fancy. Although the packaging does not indicate it, the vendor has replied to my question stating it is. I would prefer to have it posted someplace on the packaging as most other Kona Coffee packages have "100% Kona Coffee" and "Estate" on the packaging yet they are not Extra Fancy.With that said, lets talk about this coffee. Wow, this is outstanding coffee and could tell right after opening the packaging.The beans had a rich aroma and very shiny. You can see the flavor and richness still locked in the beans. The first thing is to eat a couple of beans. These had great flavor and the beans were not dried out. Usually tossing a few beans in my mouth requires a mouth full of water to wash them down as its like chewing on hay, but not these.My quest for great coffee has sent me down the Kona path a few months back. I have purchased the different Kona coffees from different vendors and this is the only one that has delivered the beans as they should which is to not be dried out and have some of the oils (which have much of the flavor) visible. In fact, this is the only vendor with whom I have actually made a 2nd purchase. This time I am getting the larger size. Hopefully they will include another sample of the chocolate covered peaberry beans. hint hint.The price is high but I tend to only drink coffee 2-3 times a week so the price isn't that much of a factor.

I was very hesitant on buying this coffee for the price. But after seeing the 4 1/2 stars from Amazon I had to try it. And to my surprise this coffee is the smoothest tasting coffee I have ever had with no bitter or bad after taste even when it cools down in temperature. It also says it is a DARK ROAST that could mean to some very bold and sour tasting I would like to confirm this coffee is not that in anyway. It may come out really dark in color after the brew process but does not come off strong. Like I said extremely smooth in taste, and I plan on getting some more and use it on special occasion only not for my morning coffee routine do the price.I took away 1 star do to the price.

Just had the coffee this morning and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. I hadn't had true Kona coffee in over 25 years and back then I didn't appreciate it as I was a teenager who only drank his coffee light and sweet. I now love manually grinding my coffee beans and using a French press or drip method as a true hipster or coffee aficionado. It also helps me cut back on my caffeine intake but I digress. I absolutely loved the flavor, aroma, and taste. My wife hates black coffee but even she loved the smell of the beans that she kept opening my canister to smell the beans this morning

I started New Years Day with this coffee. It was pricier than my usual good coffee so I was saving it. This coffee is so delicious! Very smooth and rich. No bitterness of any kind. I loved it! Wish I could drink it daily! Treat yourself!

Love this coffee unfortunately it is expensive ok for a now and then coffee.
