Therapist's Guide to Clinical Intervention

This book is a wonderful resource for clinicians. But it lost a star because it is very difficult to photocopy handouts and it doesn't come with pdf handouts.

Helpful for counseling internship if you are responsible for treatment planning. It became more user-friendly after my cohort received a tutorial from our supervisor. Lots of useful tools & tips, too. Unfortunately, the pages are not bound very well. They started falling out shortly after I got it, after only minimal use. In all, tho, a great resource.

If therapists in training have oral exams coming up I highly recommend getting the Therapist's Guide to Clinical Intervention. It spells out treatment plans for any diagnosis in a very clear and precise way. It takes all the confusion out of something that can be complicated for beginning therapists. It will help you lay a solid foundation for your goals and interventions and allow you to present your plan in an organized manner. It provides basic, down to earth language that will allow you to discuss cases in a professional way, not to mention the appropriate "buzz" words needed to pass your exam with flying colors. A friend that has been a therapist for years recommended to me. She called it her Bible, and now after reading it, I can see why. It is definitely a resource every therapist should have.

Book came faster than expected. Good quality. Only note is that the book cover did not have the blue blocks on the cover, but I am not sure why.

Affordable and I needed it for school

This book is amazing and use tabs to mark off your sections.

My students have found this to be very useful and will likely keep it for the rest of their careers.
