Crucial for people with lifted trucks but pricey
I bought a weight distribution hitch for my old truck and it got totaled, my new truck is lifted and the shank that came with it was too short. This part is expensive but it works perfect and is extremely strong.

Excellent product, but could use a better paint job!
Excellent welds, very strong, but the paint is a little thin. Some was already flaking off right out of the box. I gave it a paint job. Got this because I installed a Power Tongue Jack on my R.V. and couldn't open my tailgate. Could of got by with a 16 inch. Update: Caution, extending your hitch length changes the balance of your ride. I had a 12 inch and bought this 18 inch. The added 6 inches adds to the leverage affect of the tongue weight. I pull a 6000 lb. Camper trailer with a 3/4 ton truck. I experienced to light a ride on the front tires of the truck causing a mild squirrelly control. I raised the ball 1 position up. This helped but it still seems a little light. I also took my truck in for some front end work, a pitman arm and an alignment. OK except when experiencing a strong cross wind. Just use caution!

Only a 4" drop for the Trekker WD hitch
This is a very well made drop hitch. No hollow steel stock here, and the welds look good. But it's advertised as 5 3/4" drop and it did not work out that way for my Eaz-Lift Trekker WD hitch. In the lowest holes I could use, it measured in at 4" of drop. And that was not enough for my Ram 2500 with factory air suspension.Camco has awesome customer support and made it right for me, but just wanted to make folks aware that for the Trekker hitch, you need to get Camco PN 48132 to drop it more than 4".

Not as Adjustable as my old shank
My old shank had an adjustment hole on the corner, which is exactly where I needed my WDH to be to make my camper perfectly level, this shank doesn’t have that hole. So either I run slightly more hitch weight which isn’t bad, or more trailer weight which I did try and it’s dangerous. The reason I bought this hitch was I wanted to tow the golf cart with the tailgate down. That too didn’t workout, it did allow for more clearance but not enough for me to feel safe that I wouldn’t crush my tailgate in a turn. However, taking the tailgate off left enough room for my golf cart with the backseat to clear, I did remove the footboard of the golf cart. A little more work than I wanted but we made it work. The shank itself is heavy duty and sturdy no issues with its constructionI have a 2015 F250 with the 6.8 foot bed.

Just what I needed for my Yukon Height Difference
I have a lower profile camper that is only 19 inches to the top of the hitch. With our new Yukon XL, the hitch socket is 22 inches high, so I needed to get a lower hitch bar. I had to go down to one set of holes from the bottom. The holes are 1-1/4 inch apart for an adjustable height usage.

Heavy duty
Perfect for what I needed on my Chevy Tahoe. Fits my weight distribution hitch. It sits a little lower than I would have preferred. Tends to scrape the bottom when I’m backing up into a hill. But since I have one mounting hole left on the bottom I’m gonna mount a small caster wheel to help with that.

Add a couple inches to Camco’s measurement instructions.
The unit is heavy and well made. It works like it should. The only problem is, it isn’t long enough vertically for my truck. It needs to be about 2” longer. My truck sits pretty high (stock Dodge 2500) and my trailer sits low (torsion axles...not a big fan). With the trailer level the pickup still squats a bit; not bad, but noticeable. I don’t know if Camco makes a longer one, but this one works well enough, and with a different trailer it would work better. I do have to be careful crossing low areas as the torsion bars hang low and it’s easy to drag them (once again the problem is my trailer, not the hitch).

Very heavy duty. Works great for lowering my hitch
I needed my hitch lower so my trailer was sitting level when towing. Perfect distance

where are bolts?
Item has very good quality, strong and decent. The item name mentioned "bolt together", but I didn't get bolts when I received product. Those bolts are special, I cannot but them at local Homedepot. What can I do?

Exactly what it says perfect fit for me

Did the job
Had to cut some off of the bottom because it was WAY to low for my 2019 Ram. I do have a 2wd V6 so the truck is lower than the 4x4s

Works well
It's a large welded chunk of steel that is well made. It is VERY heavy, especially once the it is fully assembled, but it does the job as described. It's expensive for what it is, but if you need it then you don't have any other choice.
