AVERYDurable White Cover Up ID Labels for Laser Printers, 0.625" x 3", Pack of 1600 (6577)

These are not inexpensive labels, but they are great quality (almost industrial strength), easy to use with Avery templates downloaded free from the avery.com website. I have used hundreds of them in a rental property and can say that they hold up incredibly well, even in many outside situations. I keep finding new uses for them. The adhesive is great - don't use them on something that would be ruined by removing a well-attached label. But I have used them successfully on glass, metal, plastic, cardboard, paper, even painted or stained wood surfaces, in damp places, as well. I have used all sizes of the Durable ID labels, and in cases where there are 4 or more labels on the sheet, I have a recommendation... since you don't have to print a whole sheet at once (you can print just one if you want, and keep the unused portion for later use), I would not attempt to pass the same sheet thru a printer more than 3 times, as the heat and motion can cause the labels to start to peel off into the workings of the printer...this has happened to me but luckily the offending sticker was removed from the printer rollers without leaving residue. But for normal use without subjecting the sheets to multiple passes thru the printer, they are absolutely wonderful. My only real complaint is that they are costly.

The labels appear to be more durable than the standard labels. The adhesive also seems stronger. However, this is a problem that I seem to be having. As I peel the labels off part of the adhesive seems to peel off of the labels. It's like the label is made up of three layers. You have the backing layer, the adhesive layer, and the label layer. It's like the adhesive layer was properly cut. After peeling the third label off put it on the product and it seems to be ok. I'll say that 90% of the Adhesive film seems to be on the label. Are they old? Are they defective? I don't know but we'll see.

These are the only labels I use and are worth the extra cost. Toner is fixed onto the surface by the laser printer and will not scratch off or fade (under water or in sunlight). They also adhere much better than regular Avery labels. I don't think Avery has decided whether to call them "durable" or "permanent" which is confusing.. They sell both. For this product, the description calls them "permanent," but the box says "durable." I had one of these on my front door for two years in full sun.. It never faded, and was very hard to remove. I previously used #5126 shipping labels, but the toner wipes off with little effort.. I had to cover the label with clear tape, which is just like printing on plain paper and covering with tape.UPDATE: I contacted Avery via their website regarding the 5126 labels.. Their response was super-quick! I had a new box of labels in 3 days!

We use these for permanent asset labels on laptops, desktops, keyboards, video adapters, etc. They adhere great and stay put. The sheet curls quite a bit when put through a laser copier, but flattens back out. The laser printing stays on the labels better than other types. We will keep using these as long as we can keep ordering them.

I've used these labels before to label chromebooks for students. This was the first time I had to order the labels and found them elsewhere for ~$50-60 a box!!!I got 2 boxes---exact same product---on Amazon for ~$50-60!!! 2 for the price of one!!! Now I don't have to buy labels for quite a while!!!

I have been looking for laser printable durable & permanent labels for marking Investigational devices. These labels are REALLY well done, I have printed several on my HP Color Laserjet & they work well.Pros:- Truly durable & water resistant- Very good price- Great template from AveryCons:- Occasionally the printer snags the edge of a label & toner doesn't get fully saturated (don't print all color on one of them)Overall I highly recommend these labels for permanent & durable labels.

I bought these for barcode labels on LTO backup tapes. There is a web site that allows you to create the barcode labels for free. After you create the label sheet. Just load in a color printer and print! These labels worked perfectly for me using a Canon color laser printer. The barcodes, so far, are staying on with no deterioration.

I used these lables for to hold barcoding for LTO-5 computer tapes. I needed a label that would stay on with many cycles in/out of the tape library and to/from off site storage. I use these to make give-away stickers and product nameplates with a Brother colour laser printer and a cheap Silhouette Portrait vinyl cutter, and it works great.The material is very tough and prints nicely with a classy matte finish. It kiss-cuts easily with the Silhouette so the stickers looks like expensive die-cut stickers. Very sticky too -- I tested on a number of surfaces and all stick very well.

I have used Avery products for years and had great success with them. I bought these labels to use on my honey jars and after laser printing on them I couldn’t even wipe honey off with a damp cloth and the label looks great.

Exactly what I was looking for, I had to purchase for work, However was appalled at the price. Could not find it easily for cheaper anywhere else so I shelled out the money. Not a good value, but a good product.
