There are a LOT of seeds!
Love the bulk size! The seeds do need to be watered very well to sprout. Otherwise, the overall results were better than expected. Good price and great value!

These seeds are good
First off, be sure not to sew the seeds too densely as I did. I honestly didn't expect them all to come up like they did. Use a spreader or add flour or play sand or some other medium. Secondly, weed the heck out of the area including the edges because it can be a real problem to weed wildflowers after they sprout. You may want to weed the area thoroughly, wait a week and weed again before planting. Lastly since these are perennials, expect the first year to be fairly light on the flowers. The seedlings are getting established. Mine were slow to sprout and slow to grow, and you want to plant after frost, so the first year is going to be more preparation for next year. In order to keep the birds from eating all your seeds either cover them with peat moss or crushed leaves or both. That said, I'm very happy with what has come up so far. The seeds were all good, unlike many you can buy elsewhere. Recommended.

No flowers for 2 years after planting, but then...
This is my second year of fall planting this mixture and got fair results from last years planting, mostly due to extreme drought since spring, and watering bans in the area.I like this blend because it's all perennials, but it takes 2 to 3 years after seeding to really see what took.Nothing flowered last year before frost made them go dormant, just leaves that are hard to differentiate from weeds, wildflowers are really just wanted weeds, but this year I was rewarded with Black Eyed Susans, Sweet William, Shasta Daisy, Coreoposis, Evening Primrose and Columbine, even with the summer long drought. The rosettes of leaves, which I can now identify, for next year look even better as I get ready for the 2nd fall seeding.I've found the key to these Outsidepride blends is plan on 3 successive years of seeding to allow the perennials to take hold and the blends that have annuals have to be reseeded every year for them to look like the picture. People that are leaving comments seem like they not waiting the 2 years for the perennials to flower and should be taken in that light.I also have planted the Outsidepride Northeast, Northwest and Drylands blends for their annuals with good results, though the Cornflowers tend to overwhelm the rest of blends and best results are obtained by culling most of the cornflowers once they can be identified to give the more exotic wildflowers a chance to bloom.

Beautiful blooms!
I did not expect the plants to grow enough to bloom the first year, but indeed they did. Very happy with the results!

Update to follow
Arrived in time to spread out on top of soil during 2 day rain forecast at 80 - 90%. Will update with photos upon germination. I did need more to cover the bare area I had intended so I ordered another 5 lb bag for delivery. If this doesn't work, I will have wasted $260.UPDATE: I returned the second bag of seeds after deciding to WAIT and SEE what flowers germinate. The first 5 lbs. was spread February 17th just PRIOR to the 2 day rain which did occur. It is April 8th and I have no DIFINITIVE evidence of germination of any seed type of the 8-10 types included in the bag. My wife bought some seeds from a local box store and planted in flower pots around the same time. They have now grown to 15-18" in height and have some blooms. Note: These plantings are watered everyday and have partial sun.

Don't Waste Your Money on These Seeds!
Very disappointed! Bought them because of good reviews here on Amazon, but only very few seeds sprouted and these were very weak and died. I guess they sent us old seeds or otherwise seeds that were duds. This purchase made us sad as we put in new topsoil, watered as directed, etc. and wound up in the end with none of the seeds amounting to anything. It was a complete waste of money to buy these seeds, not to mention all the effort put in preparing the soil and watering! Not recommended!
