Impressed my midwife but not my husband. He feels it actually irritates the cord area by rubbing against it. It did cause a few spots of blood, which is probably unavoidable. It was nice to have it stay in place compared to the half shirts. We have just started dressing my daughter in normal onesies, the cord seems to be drying fine.
