EARLY INTRO IS KEY!
EARLY INTRO IS KEY! We started using Ready, Set, Food! once our little guy turned 4 months old. As a nurse, I feel very strongly about early introduction of allergens in our kids diets to prevent/reduce the risk in the future. I've had allergy testing done on myself and found out I have a mild allergy to peanuts (along with other foods) and it made me worry about my kids. He's almost 8 months and has had no allergy to anything he's tried! This whole system is very straight-forward, user-friendly, and convenient. There's a small amount of powder in the packets and they've mixed into breastmilk bottles and food (oatmeal, etc) easily! No clumps or chunks!I wish I had had this when our pre-schooler was a baby! He had a few mild reactions (eczema rash) when he tried peanut butter the first few times around 8-9 months (luckily we kept at it and he's okay now!) This system is super convenient and easy to use if you don't plan on feeding little amounts of egg, peanut butter, milk, etc every day or every other day once your littles start solids.

Valuable way to make life easier
I've become a big fan! We don't have allergies in our family, but my dad is an allergist so I know that food allergies can happen even if it doesn't run in your family and that feeding allergenic foods early is important to prevent food allergies. I thought I could just do it myself. I started out feeding my son peanut, egg, and milk. I had no issues with feeding my son and then one day he aspirated on soft eggs. It was horrible and so scary--I had to take him to the ER. After that I decided to just bite the bullet and use Ready, Set, Food. I have to say it's totally worth it because I can feed him his daily dose of allergens every day without putting any thought into it. As a first time mom who also works full time, this has proved to make my life much easier. I tell my friends who are having babies not to bother with making allergenic foods and just go straight to Ready, Set, Food.

Seems to have paid off...
I started adding this to my daughter’s formula at 4 months old and being that she’s only 7 months old now and only been eating solids for a month, I cannot speak to this product’s efficacy. What I can offer is: this product is heavy. It does settle at the bottom of a bottle - I periodically need to swirl it in the middle of a feeding or if it’s been sitting upright for a few minutes. We use Dr Browns Size 2 nipples and trace amounts of the product remain in the bottom after a full feeding. This apparently is normal. This product is added to my daughter’s morning bottle as it’s the only feeding that we can be sure she’ll finish 100% of the time. She can tell the difference between the taste of this bottle and others but she’s never fought us on it - it’s just her norm. I haven’t tasted it myself, but she doesn’t seem to mind much if at all.We did notice slight constipation when we first started her on RSF, but she was better within a few days. We introduced solids at 6 months and follow a Baby Lead Weaning approach. Her formula is milk based (we use HiPP’s Dutch version) so we knew the dairy introduction wouldn’t be an issue, and she had no reaction to actual egg and peanuts when introduced. Whether or not this product contributed to that, I cannot say, but it did give us incredible peace of mind during months 4-6.

Family History of Allergies
We just finished the first month of Ready Set Food for our precious five month old itty bitty one. As a mom who struggled with a long family history of milk and egg allergies, her daddy and I were determined to give our daughter the best chance at an allergy free life! Our pediatrician recommended we begin introduction at four months, and I struggled with knowing how much, what and when. I showed her the Ready. Set. Food! program and she approved! It was simple, efficient, and we knew it was safe. Adding the packets daily to 2 ounces of breast milk in the morning is how we got it done! Now that we've completed the introductory program, we are expanding to other pureed foods. We add Ready. Set. Food! directly into the purees. So far, bananas and yams are a hit. Thank you, Ready, Set. Food! for helping us figure it all out.

Great Product for Babies
This is the second go-around with the product for our second child. Our family has a history of allergens, and our first child is incredibly allergy free with the support of this product. It's honestly scary how my nieces and nephews react around peanuts, that I will buy this for all future family members going forward. Incredibly my son seems to enjoy the taste of the product as well. I like to use it in the late night feedings because it adds a little density and helps my baby sleep a little sounder.

Very Happy
My twins are anaphylactic to Peanuts, Tree Nuts, and Sesame so when we had our third baby, I was so nervous about doing early allergen introduction, but really wanted to see if it could work. We started around 6 months, but I wish I would have started at 4 as indicated because it was so easy and effective. We hit a small eczema flare at the introduction of the egg, but nothing too serious and it quickly resolved after continuing for a few days more. My son has been having regular peanut, egg and dairy exposure while his siblings are significantly allergic, and I thank Ready, Set, Food for this. I wish I had had this for my other children. Early intro works!
