I was scared whilst ordering an XL since many XL jackets that I have fit me like a medium. This jacket fits and is stretchy so its comfortable to move around in. The zipper and snaps feel VERY sturdy which is super reassuring.

I've been struggling for quite a bit now to find a comfortable, forgiving show coat that I don't dread wearing. They all seem to be way too small, way too stiff, arms not long enough or way too expensive. After checking reviews, I decided to order the Kerrits Stretch Competitor Koat. I have to say, I am absolutely in LOVE with it!!! I cannot wait to show in it. It is stretchy and forgiving, and I will be able to throw it in the washer versus having to get it dry cleaned. Not to mention the price is amazing!! And the sizing is TRUE (maybe even a tad large) - not a 1X that fits like a women's 14!!! For anyone struggling with sizing and comfort when it comes to a show coat, I HIGHLY recommend this coat. I ordered the black, and will definitely be ordering the blue as well!

Nice, lightweight stretchy fabric. The fit is very generous. Unlike most riding coats that run small, this coat runs large. I had to size down 1 size.

Y'all - it turns out show wear has evolved since the early 80's... when I was a kid, we were in lined wool blazers... even in 97 degree heat - you put it on and you suffered. And then drank a lot of gatorade. and then took it off the second you got off course. But I ordered this for my kid and was shocked at first - SO thin! more like a weird shirt than like the coats we wore as kids. But when you put it on and get on a horse, it looks just fine. And isn't designed to Contain heat like back in the day - - no - this RELEASES heat. I know! Crazy! the lack of defined shoulders makes my old 80's kid heart sad... but when I look around, it's the style that they are wearing now so on behalf of modern riders, I'm glad the tech has gone this far.I ordered a size up thinking that would be the safe bet, but the way this is designed you really do want it fitted - so we had to re-order to try a more fitted version. fingers crossed on that one.

Fit my daughter great. True to size and material stretchy nice and light but had a mark on it so returned.

I bought this for a formal fox hunt. So glad I did. It was a warm day and I would have died of heat! This coat is so nice and comfy! Also no dry-cleaning bill! It can go in the washer! I washed it no it's self in delicate cycle and then hung to dry

I would not recommend this jacket from a sizing perspective and am so sad that in the end of school year chaos I missed the return window. We bought this not inexpensive show jacket for my daughter’s first riding competition. She wears a 12 in all shirts and dresses so ordered a L. It came in right before we needed it. Luckily someone at the show could help us with a loaner because the length of the jacket was way too long as well as the arm length. I even gave it to a friend’s daughter to try that is much taller and it was ridiculously long on her. It caused much stress. It’s too bad as the fabric was lovely. Next time I’ll go out of my way and in person to a store and now be out the cost of this jacket plus another.
