The item is marked universal so I assumed either right or left hand. Perhaps it refers to the wrist size, but when I wore it in the left hand it generated pain instead of doing what it is supposed to do. My doctor prescribed an identical one, but for that one the box indicated left hand... In this unit there were no instructions included to explain how to adjust it for left hand use if that is possible.I strongly recommend this for right hand use. It is very easy to put on, adjustable, and provides good support while leaving the fingers free. I suspect it would be too small for someone with big hands and wrists, though. It is, like all velcro, a pet hair magnet, but it is also easy to clean with some sticky tape or lint remover roll.It has a knit half-sleeve and padding inside, and, although it gets a bit warm, it is not uncomfortable in the Florida winter.Keep the box and the packaging until you are satisfied. There is a 20% re-stocking fee which is clearly explained in the return policy for the store. Refund was promptly credited.
