I kind of got suckered into buying this at my local Whole Foods a few weeks ago. I had a few pimples, I was feeling a little self-conscious, I only went in to buy a steak...next thing I knew I was sans steak and buying this soap. I was very skeptical at first, mainly because it claims to be a "cure all", and from experience products like that don't really work all that well. I decided to give it a try though because I'd never seen sea sulfur in a face wash before and, being a biology student, I know that sulfur is basically magical.My skin is difficult. It tends to get very dry for a few hours after washing, and then gets very oily. I don't really get pimples, per say, but I do get weird little un-poppable bumps all over my face and the occasional sub-dermal pimple. Since I started using this, there's been a pretty noticeable reduction in the number of un-poppable bumps on my face, and I don't think I've gotten any sub-dermal monsters recently. It also works very well at evening my skin tone out (there's usually a lot of redness after washing). I've actually stopped wearing liquid foundation in the past several days, which is big for me. I've been wearing it every day for years. However, it still dries out my skin like other washes, but nothing a thin layer of lotion can't fix.Where I've noticed the most dramatic results is on my chest/shoulders. When I get stressed, that's where I break out, and it happened a few days ago. I leave a layer of this on in the shower, and in all seriousness it cleared up all the gross stuff there in about three days. Normally it takes weeks for it to go away. My assumption is that it works faster on my chest/shoulders because I don't have to use lotion on this area and don't apply makeup products like I do on my face. As for the other claims about working wonders on poison ivy/psoriasis/etc. I can't provide any review. Sorry guys.All in all, I'm really impressed by this product. If you have "weird skin" like I do, where normal salicylic acid/peroxide washes don't do much, definitely give this a try. You probably won't be disappointed.

My son had acne very very bad and he was see a dermatologist for two years with little to no help.every time we went it the doc fee and around $125 dollars every month for a 1/4 oz tube of cream that was not working. At this point they wanted to put him on a pill Accutane which is a very powerful drug that causes all kinds of side affects. We decided to look for other alternatives. Well we found the Soa soap with ocean sulphur as a last resort after reading reviews.He Stopped using the prescription cream. He followed the directions on the soa soap of washing with the soap and then leaving the latter on to dry and sleeping with it at night. After the first few nights there was a huge clearing of his acne. HE repeated the process with sleeping with is on and in 13 days his face and forehead were complete clear. this is amazing soap. After spending Thousands of dollars on the dermatologist and medication all it took was a 10 dollar bar of This soa soap. I am still amazed.

My wife got it for me from Whole Foods. I was skeptical and was not happy with the price for one small bar of soap. I used it once, lathering up my whole body. I smelled like the ocean or like I took a dip in the river Styx; not a bad smell though. Like a miracle my back cleared up. I was amazed. How is this possible? Is it just the sulfur ingredient? BTW, the smell doesn't last. Or maybe my coworkers too polite?Update August 29, 2023Still an amazing soap. Had a bought of back itch. This could be be Notalgia Paresthetica (NP). I don't know and I'm sure the average doctor won't either. Anyway, I used the soap. Lathered my back and just sat in tub for five minutes with it. Awesome. It releived whatever this is. This is my first time writing a review about any product I have used. This soap has worked wonders for my breakouts on back and chest. Also I got a mild case of KP on my arms and this soap has done wonders for my whole body. I have tried everything and anything. This soap has made me write a review. I hope it never gets discontinued. Give it a try! Hope it works as well for all of you
