The Taxidermists Woodshop Solid Cedar European Skull Mount Pedestal Plaque

It was easy to put together. I folded some paper towels where the teeth would sit, placed skull, then just before the final tightening - removed paper towels. Worked great with no scratches. Took about 15-20 min.

Easy to assemble and looks great! Be careful the teeth will scratch the wood.

Looks great, smells great (love the cedar smell). As mentioned below, be very careful when attaching and fitting skull as cedar is a soft wood and will scratch super easy. I scratched mine up pretty bad, but it still looks great from a distance. Arrived promptly and as listed.

Very good quality cedar wood and good quality finish

Let me first say, I'm a pretty handy guy and so this project should have taken all of 5 seconds. However, it did not. The finished product looks good except for the scuffed up wood. Here's what I would do. Send along a thin piece of foam or something that can be used to protect the plate while you are positioning the skull. The teeth chewed mine up pretty good. Second, make sure you secure the skull plate to the angled piece using two screws right away, not just one otherwise it flops all over the place. Third, when it says to pre-drill the skull with 1/8" bit, bore it out a little bit bigger than 1/8" otherwise the screw doesn't go in without stripping the screw head.I think I can live with how it looks even with the scuffing, but don't let yours turn out like mine.

Pretty simple actually, I've been getting similar plaques from my taxidermists for several years at a much higher price. This one is a great deal!

I have four oak plaques with skull mounts and they are very beautiful. This is the first cedar wood mount I used to mount a big ol' 10 pointer and it is truly a work of art. All future skull mounts will be on the cedar plaques. Love it.
