AquaTeak Patented 24" Sumba Teak Shower Bench with Shelf

Delivery was quick, it was super easy to assemble. Looks just like pictured, if not better. The perfect size for that end of my shower. Some of the stain did wipe off on my white towel. Sure it will need to be reconditioned in the future.

I received the bench very quickly and put it together in a few minutes. The quality of the wood and hardware is excellent for the price. Then bench is very sturdy and looks great in my new walk in shower. The bench looks exactly like the picture.The wood pieces are not perfect, there is one patch on top and a couple of minor dents in a few pieces. Initially I was disappointed with that but once I put it together and put it in the shower, the minor imperfections were completely unnoticeable. The wood is holding up nicely in the first few weeks and the water from the shower just beads up. Sometimes I wipe the bench down with a towel when I am done with the shower but it doesn't seem like it will matter.The 24-inch width is perfect for my shower, which is about 30 inches wide at the floor. The height and depth are great and very comfortable. The smooth arc to the seat makes it feel secure when sitting on it wet.The leveling feet are black non-skid rubber. I checked and this would leave a mark on my white solid surface shower floor so I put felt circles on the bottom of each foot. I will have to replace that periodically.This is a new product with only a few reviews so far, but the brand has consistently good reviews. The prices was really good for what I was looking for so I am 100% happy with this bench.

It did not take me long after moving into our apartment to realize the importance of storage solutions in a small shower and the necessity of having an elevated space when it comes to shaving. Sitting on the shower floor while shaving my legs just really was not cutting it for me...lol. So I ordered this shortly after we moved in and it has been one of my absolute best purchases for the apartment! It was super easy to assemble and the overall product quality exceeded expectations. It looks beautiful in the small space we have and has held up incredibly well. I do occasionally treat it with the teak oil that is sold separately by the same company but it does not take long to do and I've only done it once or twice in the past 5 or 6 months.I've seen in some of the product pictures that the stools are sometimes kept outside of the shower/bath but ours stays on the inside, just against the wall that is opposite from the shower head. It still does get wet but I try to wipe it down with a dry washcloth if it is exceptionally soaked for some reason.I do store a lot of bath products on the shelf but I definitely learned the hard way that the bar soaps I use need to be placed on a little plate or something... the only imperfection on the stool came from me leaving a bar of soap right on top and it got slightly discolored.Overall, the product itself is really beautiful and worth the money in my opinion!

I have had this item in my shower for two years. It gets completely wet every time the shower is used. It is as sturdy and attractive as the first day it was used. I am extremely pleased with this item.

This is a quality product. The box tells you it comes from Indonesia. There is no quality control issues at this company. I remodel bathrooms for a living and this is the 4th bench I have purchased for clients.The joints all fit as they should. Assembly is supper easy - 8 bolts. you even get the Allen key with it. They put two color dots (small stickers) on the ends that go together. There are NO instructions- You don't need them.The Wood is milled well and has good color.The Teak Oil is something to pickup - especially if this bench is in the shower everyday.My last client is older and purchased a "aluminum Adjustable Shower Seat" for much cheaper. Soon as she had the two benches side by side = Teak - looked better, felt better, and was MUCH more stable.

This is a quality piece. Easy to assemble. Everything fit perfectly. Looks beautiful.We have a 3’x6’ walk-in shower with floor tile sloped toward the long wall for drainage. We need to lift one side of the stool about 3/4” so we don’t feel like we’re falling into the wall. The bolts on the adjustable feet are about 3/4” long. So, to level the stool, two of the feet would have to just barely screw in into threads (if at all) and doing this makes the stool unstable. While we don’t need the stool to be “perfectly level”, it would be great if the bolts were longer as our shower is not an uncommon design.

This beautiful, teak bench was purchased after we returned a flimsy medical bench that arrived with broken parts. This bench is so perfect for use in our walk-in shower. It arrived well packaged with a small wrench and 10 long screws. My husband assembled it in less than 20 minutes with one hand broken. The bench has leveling pads on each leg. The surface of the wood is sanded completely smooth, and there are no rough spots or slivers. We particularly liked the slats placed horizontally, rather than vertically. The shelf adds to the overall strength of the bench. The seat length of 24" is perfect. The height is 18" and is not adjustable like the medical bench, but this wood bench is so much more sturdy and solid than the medical bench. The teak bench is twice as expensive as the medical bench, but it has so many uses and will be usable for decades after the flimsy medical bench is in the land fill. We highly recommend this beautiful bench.
