AmetekMotors 119992-00 Motor, 5.7" 120 V B/B Tangential

I got a knock-off on my first purchase from the first seller. Thankfully Amazon had free returns on the item. The second time, I got the item as advertised. And it was a drop-in replacement for my Honeywell central vacuum. The power is strong. Stronger than before but I assume as my old motor was dying. It was very easy and quick to replace. Would recommend without hesitation.

Box says Ametek but this is a domel motor made in Slovenia. Physically it like the same but the brushes are much shorter in length and narrower. This means the unit will only last half as long as as the Ametek. Also the brushes are more flimsy so when they ware down they can get caught and get yanked out. One of my replacement units actually caught fire because of the issue with the brushes. I also haven't been able to find replacement brushes for this motor so I do no want this motor. Quality, longevity, and parts are not there so buy at your own risk.

Fit and quality were perfect, very powerful unit with fast shipment.

Lacking power

The motor took about 10 minutes to install. I had to purchase insulated spade connectors in order to connect the two power leads. The motor was dimensionaly identical to my old Beam motor. So far the new motor has good suction and works well. Hopefully it will last as long as my Beam motor which lasted 14 years. The quick ship was a real bonus.

Great power, simple install. my Beam motor fried after 12 years. This is a great replacement.
