Mezco One:12 Collective Friday the 13th Jason Voorhees, Green, Beige

Glancing at other Amazon customers reviews for this figure no one seems to have said this so I'm going to be the one who puts it out there. This Mezco figure is a Hot Toys figure in all but name it really is that good. I admit I scoffed at one reviewers remark that this was better than their 1/4 scale Jason statue. Really? A five inch figure!And then when I looked at those little video reviews on You Tube before buying, I still wasn't convinced. I especially didn't like those wrist pegs they looked to big, and the shirt looked to short in the arms and the collar to big etc etc. But I took a leap of faith and I made a purchase because I'm a big Friday The 13th Part 3 fan. And now I'm eating my words and I take it all back because this little figure is amazing.To start with Jason comes with two head sculpts one clean and one bloody and they are perfect. When you look at this Jason head sculpt you are looking straight at Jason as he appears at the end of part 3. Its the dream sequence when Jason appears at the cabin window and then runs down to the lake just before Pamela pops out of it.Quite how they got the detail so right, and in this scale, and in a massed produced Item is stunning. You could own every Neca Jason and there will not be a figure in your collection with a head sculpt this good and Sideshows recent Jason 1/6 scale figure doesn't even have a head sculpt on it.And then there is the outfit, once again Hots Toys quality no loose baggy cheaply made looking items of clothing here. Every thing Jason is wearing fits him perfectly and looks high quality in the materials they used, even down to his little white t-shirt.All of Jason's tools of the serial killer trade are included in the box, and are nicely detailed to, with the appropriate blood effects where necessary. The body they have used for the figure feels solid as well, there are no loose limbs on the one that I've purchased, and the articulation is spot on to.Lastly Jason in Hot Toys vain comes with his own figure stand, a base that puts the recent Sideshow ones to shame and features the iconic movie poster from part 3 printed on the surface. Its a cool detail that makes this whole package a 10. One last thing about that stand its a decent size to, one that reeks quality when you stand your figure on it, and will give your figure an extra presence on your shelf and cries out; 'I'm Jason don't mess with me.'If you are a Friday the 13th fan this figure is a must, its expensive and at the price tag pure fandom indulgence. But if you are like me and every time you glance at this figure on your shelf it brings a dark smile to your face. Or you are constantly thinking about the next pose you could put Jason into. Then buy it, because you will love it.

The Jason figure made by Neca is a great figure,from Friday the 13th part 3. This example from Mezco is far superior in terms of everything basically.....the detail & movie likeness really is exceptional. The Neca figure is half the price of this for good reason,anyone buying this won't regret spending the money. *****

This is easily one of the best Jason Voorhees figures out there. In the past I've collected Neca's Jason figures which are also really good, but if you want great articulation and fantastic sculpted details that look unbelievably realistic this is the one to get. This was the first Mezco One:12 figure I purchased and now I own four more because of how much I liked this figure, and it's still one of the best ones. Plus for the price you get everything you could want for this particular version of Jason, I dabble in photography and I spent a good two hours messing around with all of his different weapons and display options for him, and he's also one of the cheaper Mezco figures currently, so grab him while you can.

Amazing figure, arrived in a timely manner and packaged well. Very pleased.

This figure is highly detailed and worth every penny, however the only con is the size could maybe be a little taller but looks great. Lots of accessories to choose from and the head sculpts are life like to the character "Jason" display stand looks very nice and is a nice finish the the actual figure. Overall very nice.
