Nice, well made fan
This is a nice, well made fan and it moves lots of air. I'm going to use it for an exhaust ventilation fan. I've mounted the fan on a 1/2" plywood panel so I could put it in a window. I've had this fan for several weeks now. It seems to have gotten a bit quieter with use. It would be too noisy for a media room. I did notice that installing the grills made it louder so I removed them.I wish the fan had been supplied with screws to match the threaded holes in the flange instead of the long screws that go all the way through from flange to flange. It's a pain using the long screws. I could not find the correct size machine screws to match. I suspect they are metric, perhaps M4-.7 or M5-.8. However, it was easy to run a 10-32 tap through the mounting holes to change to a more common size machine screw.

Great quiet fan
This is a great little fan. I bought it to use it as a smaller air scrubber in my garage, in addition to the dust deputy. Ended up making a 12x12 box for it out of 1/4” Ply. The bolts supplied are not long enough for this setup, so you would have to purchase longer ones to make it work. The box I made allows it to take. 12x12x1 HVAC Filter and it is mounted in the center of my garage ceiling. Ran the power with a small junction box and a switch. After running it for around an hour, there was considerably less fine dust on my tools and both benches. I’m going to add another one in the ceiling, with a temp control, for additional exhaust to the ridge vent. Fan is quiet and surely moves some air. It would also work well in a closet or crawl space.

Pretty good
Quiet, lots of airflow but not very adjustable and expensive. I’m not returning it. So it works well, just not “wowed”

Great replacement fan
Freezer evaporator fan died, could not find a replacement, this worked! If the original fan was available it would be $400.00. Seems to be very good quality.

not a quality fan
dissapointed with the quality of these. they clearly ripped off a sunon design and made it cheap

whats with the hum?
i had an experience. i bought three fans. the first one i mounted on a 1/8" plywood using both fan guards. put it in the window and it works fine.so i power the next two unmounted and they work fine. so i make a container for the 2nd fan by cutting 10" holeson the top and bottom of the shipping box and leave the foam inside. instant mount for the fan. i then assemble the fan.black fan guard, fan intake, fan outflow, silver label fan guard, then nuts on the screws. i put it in the box.i put it in another window. power on. annoying low pitch hum. i mount the 3rd fan with just the fan guards in the sameorder. power on. annoying low pitch hum. i block the air flow on the huming fans and the hum goes away.so it sounds like an air flow geometry problem (first guess). so i mount the black fan guard with 10mm aluminum spacersseparating it from the fan like the one with the plywood separating the guard from the fan. no more hum on the two fans.i like the fans. they don't make too much noise for me.

Very nice fan
Fan is well made and performs as described. It's somewhat under-powered for my application but that's my fault. Was hoping to use a 12" but 10" was the largest offered. Update - bought a second fan for my project since the first performed so well - plenty of airflow now with 2 running side by side.

Powerful, good quality fan.
PROSThe unboxing experience was great. The fan itself is quiet and gorgeous - everything is textured matte black, so it's definitely a fan you can have exposed, and it won't hurt the aesthetics of your system. I used it in a laminar flow hood, and it worked just as described - smoke test confirmed.CONSWhen the fan is used with the AC Infinity speed controller, it creates a loud noise on all settings except for full power. Also, it is kind of heavy (mostly due to material choice for heat/noise/aesthetics), so make sure you plan accordingly; this isn't a cheap plastic fan.
