far better than hardware store primer!
I've tried various store spray paints and this is soo soooo much better for small craft projects! If you need a primer for a plastic figure or object, go with this. Dries flat and smooth.

Mr Hobby has another winner
Being a loyal Tamiya customer, I sometimes need to buy products Tamiya doesn’t offer. Mr Hobby’s base white is such a product…and is at a comparable quality. This is absolutely essential before applying light colors like yellow. It applies a thin layer of white. One layer is enough, to prep the surface for Yellow. If desired, multiple layers are needed to create a fully opaque white layer. Dries almost as fast as Tamiya sprays do.

しっかりした白の下地が作れます
車塗装用の下地スプレーも使ったことがあります。車用のは3回吹いてもまだ下地が白くなりきらないけど、これは3回吹けばしっかり白い下地が作れます。このため吹く回数が少なく済んで次の作業への移行が早いのが気に入ってます。また、吹く回数が少ないことからコスパもいいと感じております。
