The Giant Carrot

I absolutely love reading this book to kids. The verbiage used in the story is hilarious and I even have kids practice saying it in a southern twang. It’s a fantastic book about working together and every part/person/contribution matters.

Cute story I bought to go along with some actual, jumbo carrots I bought at the market. (They really DO exist!) This is a wonderful version of a classic folk tale, with beautiful illustrations.

I've had this book for quite a few years now and read it to many grandchildren. I love emulating the mountain dialect! My grandchildren never get tired of this book. I've yet to make the carrot pudding from the recipe on the back page.

This is a charming story, beautifully illustrated, for all ages. Little kids love heaving it read to them, and adults will be charmed by the illustrations.
