Great Fun!
Ok, so this was a present for my daughter and within a few days she declared it the best toy ever!Someone recommended this to me as their kids had been playing with the OriOri squeeze ball. I wasn't sure at first but after looking into it I liked the idea of the hand eye coordination practise vs just playing on a mobile. Some of the games are harder than others but that's good as it means she'll grow into them as she gets a little older.Once charged it works for absolutely ages, love that! Definitely a thumbs up from me and my daughter.

Unique, Useful and Fun!!
The Oriori is so unique, well designed and well priced too. I saw it in-store at John Lewis and after a friend recommended it to me, I bought it too. It's helped me manage my stress whilst at work and I have also used it for fun on the way. A great buy!!

Very close to great
This is very close to a great product - it's just let down a bit by the app. Now, some may wonder what the point is in a hand grip exerciser - well, if you are looking at this product then you probably don;t need it pointed out to you that good grip strength affects many, many functions and it is not until you lose that grip for some reason that you realise just how important it is.It may be that you need better strength for a particular sport or other activity, but what if something has gone wrong in your life? This device could be a brilliant rehab tool!It detects soft enough grip to be useful for regaining strength after an accident or illness and the games are enough of a distraction for you to not notice that you are exercising - until the ache creeps in, that is! And the ache does creep in as the games' exercises seem very effective. The ball feels good in the hand and the charging hole is hidden away in the soft rubber of the ball outer. Some may have trouble spotting this and I was a bit dubious about whether or not I was connected for charging but a vibration from the ball when connected confirms connection (note, I had problems charging from a powerbank and had to charge direct from a wall charger for some reason). Some of the games are a very simple but addictive but some are a little odd to get used to and some are online only (compete against friends or random strangers). And this is where my first concern creeps in.The app wants access to your camera and microphone. I assume that this is for 'social' gaming but as I refuse to enable these permissions in Android I cannot confirm this. I feel it is unnecessary for a device like this to request these privacy busting permissions. Coupled with full internet access and the ability to upload and download files at will should concerns everyone, not just those who dislike pervasive social sharing. Thankfully Android allows you to block at least the camera, mic and file up/download access. The app also needs the 'location' permission, at least on Android, as this is required for Bluetooth. This is an Android issue that still bugs me but it s required for any Bluetooth device's app to work. What is frustrating here, though, is that the app does not seem to notice that the permission has been granted and asks every time I start it.So, with a bit of improvement in the app this could be a five star item. As it is I still think this is a brilliant use of technology. Simple and effective it could have you rehabilitating a broken hand or just strengthening without even really noticing it.

Possibly A Great Buy.
There are two camps of opinion for this type of device. Those that can't see the point and the ones who actually buy it and use it. They all seem to love it.There you have it.If you know your likes then the OriOri FPO-019 Orange Monkey Group Squeeze Ball Games Controller in Green could be a great buy.

Brilliant gift!
We saw this advertised on TV and thought it would be a great gift for my sister's birthday. Hasn't disappointed, she absolutely loves it. Can't believe how reasonable the price is for the amount you can do with it!

Fun and useful – a brilliant product
This is a really cool, novel product. It's a simple, understated design, but it does a fair amount. The ball is simply packaged in a small box and comes with nothing but a quick start guide and charging cable. The cable end looks like a longer headphone plug, and fits into one end of the ball, neatly through the seemingly sealed silicone. Mine charged for a few hours and then it set up and connected to my iPhone easily. The ball itself is nice to hold and squeezes on the top and bottom, with grip/grip strength sensed through little individual spots which you can feel and just see through the covering. The app is on the whole very good. It's clunky in places, and there are a couple of translation mistakes, but it's mostly fine. Each time you use the ball you just grip it for three seconds to turn on and open the app. For options you have 'Log', which charts your daily grips and compares them to other users, 'Sport', which keeps track of your daily grips and also has a 'training' section with three options – plain grips, 20kg single grip target and 40kg single grip target. There are also three extra methods here which are more finger/dexterity oriented.OriOri also have 10 games, which they say focus on "strength, endurance and reaction", and the games certainly follow through on this. From a fighting game where you have to push your opponent off the central plinth by squeezing a higher kg than them, to an Olympic style game, where quickly squeezing to power your player on through foot and water races, shot-put and hurdles is the order of the day. There are also games oriented more towards skill and timing, which older and younger people will like. With these you can take advantage of the sensitivity of the ball to grip your way through some nice relaxing games, and also a meditative one where you're encouraged to squeeze in time to the prompt on screen.Overall I love this product. It's suited to a whole range of ages and people, from those with RSI and need to work on dexterity, to young and old and people looking to exercise their arms and wrists. It's addictive, and when it comes to exercise that isn't a bad thing. 5 stars, easily.
