I don't know why they can't describe these things better- I got this to thing to replace a broken latch on my front door. Now the door will only open from the inside if I lift the handle, not if I push the handle down. Now I have to try to find one that will open the door regardless of the turning direction. But of course, the descriptions of these products never tells you that sort of useful information...

I recently installed a new Schlage lockset on my front door. Unfortunately, the spring latch was defective, and since the whole set was already installed and I tossed the box, I just wanted to find a replacement. This one works perfectly and solved a big problem for me. Thanks!

Came w both “rounded” and “squared” door edge plates (which was not stated - and a concern of mine). Worked perfectly and prevented me buying a whole new door system.
