I bought this heat press to add a company logo to shirts and aprons and to add leather patches to hats.I first used the flat press on the aprons and some shirts. Everything seemed to work as expected. I set the temperature as specified per the heat transfer vinyl instructions and everything worked.My second usage was for applying leatherette patches to hats with a heat transfer adhesive. I used the flat press to apply the adhesive to the back of the leatherette per the instructions with the adhesive. Again, everything was fine. Where I did run into problems was after changing out the flat iron for the hat press. I again set the temperature as specified by the adhesive and attempted to put the patch on the hat. There were multiple issues.1. The heating plate and the base plate are so close together that when I lined up the patch and then swung the heating plate into place, it knocked the patch off the hat. (Maybe I have it too low and applying too much pressure. There is still not very much clearance when reducing pressure.)2. The heating plate did not heat to the correct temperature. I set the temperature to 275 as per the adhesive and the patch did not stick. I didn't have a good way to check the temperature, so I put a cooking probe between the heating an base plate to see what the temperature reading was. It only got up to 235 degrees. With that information I upped the temperature on the press to 315-320. At that temperature the adhesive started to set.3. The heat distribution on the hat press is not even. The heat it more central on the plate. The patch that was under the center of the plate would adhere without issue, but the area closer to the edge of the heat plate would have areas that did not seem to adhere.4. There is no good way to hold the hat in place. Some of the hat only presses have an attachment to pull on the back of the hat to hold it in place. This does not, so be aware that alignment may be more difficult.I knew when I bought this that it would not be perfect. I was able to use it for what I wanted, but there is something wrong with the hat attachment. If I want to do more hats, I'll probably invest in a press build just for that purpose.

This heat press is very heavy so consider that with deliver and set up. The press is well packaged sitting in a styrafoam surround. There were no dents, scratches etc. The press is ready to go out of the box, no parts to put together or attach. Setting od the temp and time was easy and straight forward. The adjusting for pressure will take a bit of practice. It heated well and my print went on the garment with no problem.

I think the product is probably just fine. But I received it, plugged it in, and it would not heat up. Something must’ve been wrong with it. I did not have time to deal with it. I had already ordered another product and it was here before this one shipped back out. I didn’t wanna take a chance on getting another one that didn’t work because I had a timeline.

First off, the press came in properly packaged. The Styrofoam protective pieces did their job. However, I am disappointed that I bought the machine thinking that it was brand new only to find out that this machine is a used one. So many scratches all over the machine. This really is a turn off for me. I tried heating it up and that worked out well. It also pressed a few substrates really well. I'm yet to try htv.I just really hate the fact that this is deceptive. Atleast let people know that they're getting refurbished or used items. Lesson learnt. I will be purchasing my machinery straight from he company's websites.

A. Comes in pieces with TERRIBLE instructionsB. Base is small and has legs that flip out to sturdy it BUT when the top is turned and not centered over the press plate. It tilts back and rocks the weight lifts the front feet of the table top.C. Nothing is securing the bottom cotton mad so when you put a shirt on it friction causes it to slideD. The adjustment on the bottom plate is a pain and has to line up with holes for a single bolt to hold in place and unless you are eye level with the hole one the BACK of the machine you will never find it.For $175 I expected a sturdy machine and this is NOT

This is my second heat press and first off its so much prettier! The nice color and smooth lines are completely non functional but comparing the two as I carted my other one to the trash I had to admire its looks. It is much bigger (longer) than my previous low priced swing away, but it is automatic. It is easy to set once a quick look at the instructions said to turn the knob halfway one way for temp, and then the other for time. There was plenty of room with it open to adjust the shirt and design and then hit the button and BAM a 12 year old made a perfect shirt.

Product works great, God blessed me with a great deal on a used one! So there were no instructions but YouTube is all you need and I was up and running in no time! It is small so big designs you have to get creative, but it’s not a problem for me I just needed something to start with for a budget price. One thing I well say is that if you turn the press top all way around it will fall down so tie it down. Other than that it’s good! Yes if you have the money for a bigger one get it but if you really don’t that this is a good deal! Well God blessed me and he’ll do the same for you so hey! Get it and just start whatever your looking to create!
