I first downloaded the Rebekah The Mysterious Garden and then purchased Rebekah Alien Invasion to read to my girls. We all loved these stories so much that I purchased all of them (Rebekah Girl Detective Books 1-8 and 9-16). These stories are all very well written and despite Rebekah being a bit nosy from time-to-time, the author does a great job of keeping those kinds of things in check. I think it's great how Rebekah interacts with adults in her town and is always respectful of them, and the dynamic between her and her friend mouse is excellent and really shows how friends can disagree on things but not get into fights about it. There's lots of great conflict resolution in these stories and lessons to to be learned. I hope the author continues to write more books with Rebekah and Mouse for a long time to come.

Many distracting errors...
My daughter really tried to like these stories, but she found the typos and poor punctuation distracting. I wanted to see what she meant, so I read the stories too. It was evident that this author had not proofread/edited her work. There were over 15 errors just in the first short story. We gave it away to our local charity shop.

AudioBook Format : Is it a Recording problem or my problem? (Update: It's my device issue)
This is my first time to purchase books in audiobook format. I find that from time to time, there are some words that are being not recorded well, I mean, audio sounds are being cut off .. like the word "Chapter" is played as "-Apter", "There" sounded as "-air"... "So" as "-oh"...I tried to check if it is my bluetooth connection not working well, so I tried to replay it at those spots... but still they sounded like that. And I tried to change the Speed too, and still the same exact words sounded like that. It was not recorded properly.Does anyone know if this is a common problem for Kindle audio books, or is it just this book ?Thanks.Overall I love the stories for my kid to listen. But the above mentioned errors can cause irritation to a smooth experience.** Update : I tried with my bluetooth earphones, and the whole problem is gone. I believe it is my bluetooth sound player that is not receiving the signal from my kindle at its top performance.

Great read for vacation
My daughter begged me to get this so she could read it while we were on vacation. I hesitated because it was supposed to be an electronic free vacay. However, we were rained in, so... She read the entire series by lunch! She enjoyed the series and was able to tell me about the who did what, why and how. I heard her laugh several times while reading so there's some comedy too!

Fun Compilation: Handy and Good Value
My kids and I were already familiar with the Rebekah series of short stories; I had previously bought the first four books and we've enjoyed reading and re-reading them. So, when I saw this reasonably-priced package I didn't hesitate in picking it up.And I'm glad I did. The stories are fun and well-written, and now we can see the main characters, especially Rebekah and Mouse, (and their relationships with other people) develop over a longer story arc.Mystery, a sense of wonder, humor, and common sense are recurrent themes in these stories and their value is quickly understood and appreciated by my children. If your kids (girls especially, but younger boys too) are between 6 and 12 and like mysteries and whodunnits, I highly recommend this series. Keep 'em comin' Nanny P!P.S. I should also add that although this is a large compilation, it's not unwieldy. The lay-out is easy to navigate and the TOC for all of the stories is hyperlinked.

My granddaughter loves this book
Since this is a book with 8 different stories included in one book, my granddaughter loves reading it and finished it in no time. Her brother, age 6, will be the next one to finish it.
