Very Disappointing Quality
In pictures, this was my favorite looking intake and appeared to have the best design. In person, however, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of this intake. First, the intake tube is steel, not aluminum. It is very heavy with nothing to properly support it's weight. Second, since it is steel (not stainless steel), the inside of the intake tube was already rusted. Rust and steel going into your engine is not a good thing... Third, the welds are horrible. Where the intake tube is welded together, the weld was not totally complete, allowing air to pass into the engine without going through the filter. There were more issues, but I think you get the point. On the plus side, the filter seemed decent. Thank goodness for Amazon's amazing return policy, they are always a pleasure to do business with!!

Has too many flaws, for this price!
Extremely disappointed in this product for the price. Really wish I had done more research before purchasing. I did get it at a good price, under $300 but for the money I should have bought the K&N with the composite intake tube. The K&N I had on my GTO fit like an OEM part and was very well engineered. This AFE on the other hand is on par with those Chinese made EBay intakes that you used to be able to buy for $99 but are now closed in price to a real deal intake. For under 200, I'd be fine with this intake but for around the same price as a K&N and the Mopar intake, I feel like I was ripped off. Don't get me wrong, it feels like it adds some power, definitely sounds awesome and looks intimidating but its fit and finish are subpar. The silicone hoses I fear are going to slide off under load, the intake tube is resting on top of my A/C fitting and if I adjust it off of it, the hood will not shut because the intake is now too high. It's so bad that every time I get home from driving it, I pop the hood to make sure everything is still in place. There are better products to be had for the money, so unless you are getting an amazing deal, go drop your money elsewhere.

My 5.7 HEMI needed this.
I installed this AFE CAI on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The installation was smooth and I was able to complete the task in just over an hour. The sound is exactly what I had hoped for. Acceleration and throttle response has improved, and even though I tend to drive more aggressive now, my fuel economy has improved too. Oh, and it looks super cool under the hood!Next step is to install a Corsa cat back exhaust kit. Can't wait!

Good intake, could have a little better fit.

Didn't fit, difficult to get AFE's attention to resolve....
Tube did not have the proper bend in it which was verified by AFE after multiple unanswered attempts to contact AFE. They promised to send upgraded version due to the problem. Never heard back. After several unanswered voice mails I finally returned it. Thank God for Amazon as they gave me an exception to their return policy since AFE dragged the issue out for so long. Lots of players in this space, I'm sure there's a more reliable alternative.

Really good intake and easy to install
This thing is the best intake for a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L Hemi. It will flow more air than the Mopar Intake or any other aftermarket intake. You will feel the power change and difference in sound.
