One of the reasons why folks get tungsten putty is so that it can be molded to fit where it needs to fit or to shape it to conform to whatever for that's needed (especially all the Pinewood Derby racers out there). Not to mention the fact that the tungsten is more dense than other products that folks use to add weight. So you can use less mass to create more weight in specific areas or add more weight than you would with a product of similar mass. Again, hyper important to derby racers. All the above was just to lead me to the fact that this product was super pliable but held it's form. Some just melt away and can't hold shape or it takes intense amounts of heat to make them moldable. The weight they sent was exact as well. Will buy this product from this vendor again.

Super heavy for its size. Moldable. Perfect for adding some weight inside the handle of a tennis racket.

So, here's the thing about tungsten putty. It's liquid metal. Much like the T-1000 but way less cool. And deadly. Tungsten is malleable. Hit it with a little heat and you can shape it to or around anything you want. Don't be an idiot and stick it in a microwave unless you want it to explode. Liquid metal but still metal. Maybe use your hands or a hair-dryer on the low setting for a few seconds. I had no issue uncasing this little nugget of dense weight as there was a simple piece of plastic protecting the tungsten from the container. It's 1 whole ounce of fluid awesome and has many applications.

It is a great weight for a derby car, but be aware, I drilled holes in the bottom of the car and put the putty in the holes, and after a couple of hours, it started sagging out of the holes, so next year, I will use the same putty, but will be applying it to the car differently, live and learn, But Great Stuff, would buy again.
