I bought these to put in a germanium fuzz face pedal that I built, and they’re awesome! Old fuzz circuit designs seem to expect the internal values that these old style batteries have. They just play nice. Sounds just like Hendrix! (ok, I wish, but it’s closer than before) Way different than a modern alkaline.

Excellent value for the money

Great battery for electric guitar fuzz pedals. I prefer Carbon zinc batteries for a germanium fuzz. Last time I purchased these they came in a box in packs of 2. Great for the gig bag for a quick battery swap.

Purchased 4 packs of these 9V batteries last month. He just came to my office to say that I needed to order more because these batteries only lasted 30 minutes in a microphone on Sunday mornings! Using 4 batteries for two services every Sunday morning is ridiculous! Will never order again. :-(

As one review stated, these are good for one thing only, making music. Old, pre-1975 design, germanium transistor guitar effects love these. Having said that, DO NOT PUT THESE IN ANYTHING ELSE!!! These are not high power, long lasting alkalines. Get good alkalines for smoke detectors, people.
