Fantastic, thought provoking read
Written from the first person perspective, one feels as if they are getting to know Venus personally. I felt this was a well written and thought provoking work and had trouble putting it down until I had finished the book. The character use of a journal made this even more realistic as it felt at times one was reading someone's diary and glimpsing passages and thoughts that they should not have access to and stumbled upon and broke a taboo and read.I also hope that while that gun was fired, it was fired in the air or something and there is a sequel and we will see Venus rise above this desperate situation.I look forward to more works from this Author :)

Memoirs of Fresh air as well
Reading this was like looking into the private life of the author. This entry into the genre was almost refreshing in that it feels like you are reading directly from this persons diary and not a work of fiction. If Ms. Margaret keeps up this pace and tone in future works we will see her go far. Thank you for bringing this fresh air to the genre.

In a word
In a word to describe this book " Vivid " comes to mind. Alexandria transports us into the mind and life of Venus as she journeys on her path feeling the bittersweet hue of love and the sting life can offer. Not my typical cup of tea to read, but a friend stumbled on it the other day and sent it to me. Definitely worth reading.
