Vers Audio Q102 1Q Bluetooth Sound System (Bamboo)

Quick summary:I love the look of these things. Honestly, I think they are the best looking speaker on the market.I also love supporting kickstarter products; well I did anyway.What I don't love about the speaker is the quality control on the sound. I have been sent 3 of these so far, and all three have had issues with a vibrating/buzzing sound when the volume is in the top 3 bars. I listen to Songza through my iPhone 4 via Bluetooth. I've noticed that on anything with sustained high notes (any female vocals, classical music, movie music or opera especially) the speaker has an unbearable vibrating/buzzing noise.The customer service (sadly) has been pretty ugh too. They've done a good job of making me feel like I'm either lying or it is my fault they don't work. Awesome. I'm mostly turned off by the fact that they still haven't sent me a non-buzzing speaker yet. When I spend $120 on such a small speaker, I expect a lot more than what I got. Perhaps as others have mentioned, I expected Apple quality (given the price tag) and it just isn't there.I really wanted to love this product, but I don't.

Don't expect chest thumping bass from this little guy, the physics aren't there for that yet. However, listening to vocals, strings, piano, ambient music, WOW. What an absolutely incredible amount of music this thing can produce. I tote this thing around the house and it can easily fill a room with sound. The wood cabinet is BEAUTIFUL in walnut. Tone reproduction is amazing. There is a LOT of bang for the buck with the 1q.Now I have had a problem with the wooden cabinet cracking on mine after a few months use. After much online searching, it appears the problem I have is unique so I would rest assured its probably something you won't run into. Never dropped it, looks like it could just be a manufacturing defect. I contacted vers and they got back to me within 12 hours to start the return/ exchange process. GREAT customer service and really quick response times. I am eagerly awaiting my mini room filler to ship back to me. I actually miss that damn thing...

I've owned a bamboo Q1 for nearly 3 years and have to say that it's fantastic. I use it for 30-45 minutes each morning as I prepare for the day, showering, shaving, brushing my teeth. I charge every 2-3 weeks, sound quality is awesome, even when on the highest volume setting. I've never experienced distortion or rattling. I keep in my bathroom and its held up well in this environment. I own 5 Bluetooth speakers, some I've had to replace that have not shown the battery life and durability of this product. I highly recommend.

I researched speakers for my PC and decided to give these a try. Online reviews of the Vers 1Q rated them very highly and the online photos of the Bamboo wrapping looked great. Unfortunately, after trying them out at home, I was a bit dissapointed in the overall sound quality and value. I would recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a small bluetooth speaker to pair with their phone or iPad but not to anyone, like me, that was hoping they can be used as desktop speakers. The positives, such as, box packaging, speaker size and weight, style, and connection options, do not outweigh the light sounds that these speakers emit and high price tag.

I bought this deeply discounted as it was refurbished. For that price I rate it is okay. Had I paid full price I would have been slightly disappointed.There is some lack of clarity when playing vocal music. But for listening to spoken word (e.g. BBC radio 4 or NPR) it is fine.Wrt bluetooth, it works great, no problems whatsoever.Edit: 6 months on, and using these every day. The sound quality has grown on me. Highly recommended.

This is such a cool little product. I've bought two, this second one is a gift for my daughter heading off to college. She can keep it in her back pack and enjoy music anywhere.The sound is just amazing, especially considering the size. Beautiful too, the craftsmanship is great, it's like a little piece of art that gives you the gift of music.
