My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic - Magical Friendship Tour (Limited Edition Pinkie Pie Variant Vinyl)

I’ve been buying vinyl records for a few years now and just recently pulled the trigger on buying this mlp vinyl. Over the years I have come to find some vinyls are made better than others and this is one was not “clean” persay out of the box, had some blackish specs on the vinyl which I can only guess maybe came from the black vinyl sleeve it’s kept in. Isn’t a big deal as I can clean it off pretty easily but there were many songs that were skipping and some that didn’t have the full versions of the song which was a little concerning, I’m not sure if the skipping was intentional to get as many songs as there is on it or if it was just a poorly produced vinyl. Looking over the vinyl in good lighting I couldn’t see any visible scratches or damage but that’s also hard to spot because it’s pink. Anyways I still think this deserves 4/5 stars because I’ve come to learn there’s a lot of factors that play into making a good vinyl, for instance a dean martin vinyl would be more appealing to an older generation most of which probably used to listen to him on vinyl back in the day so if they were to market it today there would probably be a lot of people that’d buy it in that format and the company selling that vinyl would already know that and make sure to go through a reputable company that produces top of the line vinyls and it’d probably drive up cost for it too but older people don’t care as much about spending a couple extra dollars for a quality product compared to mlp that’s got a much younger fanbase and would most likely listen to the music digitally so it’s understandable why they’d cut some corners at the end of the day.Long story short I appreciate the vinyl for what it is but if you’re expecting a quality vinyl record that’s not gonna skip you’re probably gonna be disappointed, I wasn’t expecting it to be quality myself but I’m disappointed some songs were the shortened version.My suggestion for the future to hasbro and the production company is to take off some songs off if you have to but make sure the full versions are on there, you can always make a second record with more songs and there’s people in the fandom that will buy it (I’ve already bought two and probably gonna buy the other 2-3 I haven’t gotten at some point myself). The skipping was expected from me and I don’t think that will change unless they go through a better manufacturer but that probably would never happen but if so I’m sure me and other people in the fandom would be alright with paying a few extra bucks for a quality vinyl. Hope my review helped anyone who’s on the fence about buying, at the end of the day this is a collectible. There’s another vinyl out there with the same songs that’s about $15-$20 Cheaper but I haven’t seen it on amazon so you might need to go through a 3rd party website to order it, this one is more expensive because it’s limited edition.
