Good Performance in Extreme Cold
I purchased this tent specifically for a winter backpacking trip. I thought the reviews were good and the price was unbeatable for a four-season tent. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it performed. The first night the temps got down to -4F. Condensation wasn’t too bad in the morning. The second night it actually was a bit warmer (in the single digits), but I did wake up with significant ice buildup inside the tent on the door. (Video uploaded.) Believe it or not, it still was relatively warm. A thermometer I had in the tent read 38F and as soon as the sun came out it shot up to 50F. Here’s the deal though, there’s no real way to judge its performance in the cold if you are otherwise prepared for extreme low temps. I had a winter sleeping pad, a zero degree sleeping bag, a small space heater and the proper layered clothing, which all contributed to my warmth. Just keep that in mind.A few other observations about the tent. Can two people fit in it? Not if you’re camping with me. I’m a bit claustrophobic. I like to keep my gear inside the tent. And I need space to move around. The vestibules are smaller than I thought they would be, but the interior of the tent is roomy. (Let’s put it this way, if it can hold me and my overpacking, it’s roomy.) I did use all of the stakes and guylines in preparation for wind, but it was never windy enough to judge that performance. Overall, it’s a decent tent at a great price. I’m curious to see how it performs in the summer.

Great 4 season tent at a reasonable price.
Definitely a four season tent. Very warm inside and withstood the cold elements. No condensation in the morning which was a plus for me. Very simple to assemble.

Decent Tent
For the price it is excellently built with decent materials. Last time out it was very windy, 20mph, with no issue. Have not attempted very wet hike yet. It is pretty light or as about as light as you get for a bargain tent. Just fits two sleeping pads inside with little to no extra space. Great for through hiking. Unless you want to spend over 300$ this is about the best you can get for backpacking.

it is a great tent. Materials are very sturdy
Even though I did have to return it, it is a great tent. Materials are very sturdy, it is the definitely rainproof, warm, does great against high wind, and is very comparable to other more expensive tents. The only reason I returned it was because the zipper was not appropriate for this application. I set it up twice, the first time I set it up, one of the door zippers came apart after closing due to the tension when stretched by the poles, and that same one would get stuck and the zipper would not keep going when you pull on it to close. The zippers are not strong enough. Another thing wrong was that one of the stakes was bent when I got it.To GEERTOP: great tent, but change the zippers and stakes and make it $50 more expensive if needed. You guys have a very good tent here, just bad zippers and stakes!

This is a totally bas-ass tent!
We tested a pair of these Geertops against my Catoma (a high quality 4 season tent that retails for about $250) and I have got to say that the low cost Geertop really performed well. With the snow flaps, the tent maintains heat much better than any other tent I have ever used. Also, in windy environments the Geertop makes you feel much more isolated from the wind than other tents. This is a badass little tent, and well worth the $116 they are going for now (I bought the first 2 when they were only $105.) If you want a tent that'll be practical for ANY weather scenario, then buy this Geertop.

Perfect for one. Wind blocking, warm, dry, good stuff sack.
This is a durable and sturdy tent that protects from wind/water very well. Tested it out in winter conditions and was very happy with it. The only feature I don't like is that the air vents in the fly cannot be accessed from inside the tent. If you are chilly from too much ventinyg you have to exit the tent to close the flaps. Otherwise it's great. Roomy for one tall woman with gear inside, probably would be too cramped for two people.

Worth every penny, two person tent.
Excellent tent. Used it on a hot night but was up in 5 minutes and easy to take down and fold back up. Light enough to carry on a motorcycle. Plenty of venting, did not need the rain fly, the screens kept the bugs out. Very nice tent for two.

Nice 3-4 season tent
Nice green color, stakes poles and tent seem very high quality, stitching looks good, zippers work well, I like the tent material, especially the floor.....easy and quick set up.....I'm 5'10" and I can sit up on my knees and still have a little headroom. Maybe a little heavy (6.4lbs) for hiking but wanted a 4 season.....my girlfriend and I both fit in it comfortably and still have some room for a few things.....2 doors are convenient. We will se how it holds up over time...............edit....I've only set up the tent twice....putting it away the stuff sack ripped at the top underneath the strap....so I must conclude the dry bag (stuff sack) is very thin and week.....this is the first dry bag I've ever ripped....so be gentle with yours.....the rip is 6" long.....I'm going to try and repair/sew it with some Kevlar thread.....but I will have to subtract a star.
