After having been disappointed with the rubbish fans desktop and pedestal bought in the past few years I wanted a fan like my old trusty 20 year old desktop fan which is still going strong will shake the curtains in the room that's the bar set for a replacement and yes the My Carbon does just that and the sleep mode is quiet to it is well worth the money compared to cheaper fans you can buy

Does everything I need. It’s quiet, and perfect for overnight use. Eco setting plus horizontal/vertical pan which are great just to move air around a room. Remote? Check. No need to get out of bed to change settings during a heatwave night. A great choice.

Absolutely brilliant. The angles and turns you can get are guaranteed to cool everyone in a room.

This thing is really great for shifting air. It works really well pushing cool air through a hot house. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a five is that it's genuinely difficult to work when it's dark. You press a button and the little power indicator lights up, but the buttons don't, and as they are capacitive style button you have no feel for where they are or what button you're pressing. If the buttons lit up this is an easy 5 star product.

This is a remarkable fan and it far surpasses my expectations. I did expect less, I have to be honest. That's despite the really positive reviews! Mainly because as far as I was concerned, anything that simply pushes the air around just creates a breeze. By experience, the bigger fans just create a bigger breeze, and although table top fans can be pretty good we hadn't yet found one of any size that had blown our minds on performance. But as this fan has a couple of hundred reviews on Amazon and very few negative criticisms I bought it and I really hoped that this would indeed be a bit more special than an ordinary table fan.The first thing we realised when we got this was that this creates a really cold and intense blast of air. They aren't kidding when they use the word 'turbo' because It far out-performs our massive floor standing fan! It had been a really warm day when we unboxed this and the evening was cooling down fast, so I will even say that the cool air that hit me was slightly unpleasant as well as being a bit of a shock. We have a seriously hot house as soon as the weather improves with the summers being very uncomfortable and summer nights impossibly hot (our upstairs rooms don't ventilate too well). So this has been used already in the bedroom and I could really do with another one downstairs - but as the fan is small enough and light enough (2.1kg) to easily move from room to room it's no big deal. Also the size makes it easy to find a spot to place it, and if you're lucky enough to have a power supply within 1.5m of a window I suspect that this is going to be a game changer for circulating fresh air into the room.The settings are impressive and cover side-to-side (70° to each side) and up-and-down (up to 90°) oscillations as well as the three modes (normal, eco and also the quiet sleep mode) and four different speeds. Between that little lot, there's a good choice. So the manufacturer has also added a timer of up to 12 hours to that (in one hour increments). Which is great at this time of year where the bedroom doesn't need cooling all night, but you'd like to drift off to sleep with the fan running.The panel is touch sensitive and is actually very simple to operate with six touch buttons which are self explanatory by their symbols. If you're feeling too lazy to get up or you're settled in bed, the remote will do the same functions. A final attention to detail is the magnetic remote holder on the side of the fan (nifty)! There's also a display to show speed (1-4) and SL for sleep mode.In eco mode, the fan possesses intelligence that can detect the ambient room temperature and adjusts the speed appropriately. There's a chart in the well written instructions which explains the temperature:speed settings, so that the user can adjust an appropriate speed under normal mode. Turbo speed has cooled our whole room completely in just a few minutes.In terms of sound, it's also every bit as quiet as they state. It's worth mentioning here that keeping the blades dust free is paramount to stopping any noise (dust imbalances the blades), and the manufacturer has designed this well - so opening the cage to service the blades is an easy enough job. Doing this is well explained in the manual too.I know that the price label doesn't make this cheap, but you seriously get what you pay for with this fan and it's a great investment if you can't bear being too hot.

Very quiet and powerful. Brilliant for night use. Unsure about the full rotate, supposed to move cool air around the room but doesn't really. Great for what I need though.

Really good product. Kept the room cool especially during the hot weather. For a small compact fan the power was very good.

This fan is extremely quiet on its lowest setting and it still gives out a good air flow - perfect for those hot nights. It also has a remote control so you can operate it at a distance.
